In order to be healthier, we can get rid things like Rockstar, and buy less soda. We can also get rid of some our microwavable foods and junk foods. Even with all the junk food and microwavable foods that we have, our refrigerator is full of vegetables and food that is organic. Since my mom doesn’t work, and my dad does, we don’t really have to worry about not expecting dinner to be ready at night since she’s not really all that busy. We get a hot meal every night that my mom cooks for us, and it’s not just microwave this and that, it’s something that is prepared over the stove.
Jenny Graves: The only thing that I would change really is doing more everyday with each child. I know there is only so much you can do, but I feel that there is always room for more. You can never learn enough in your life time. Cynthia Moore: What do you like most about your job? Jenny Graves: I love being able to help the younger generations learn and to guide them to be the very best they can be in life.
Most people barbeque chicken, hotdogs, hamburgers, ribs, and much more, but everyone has king cakes which are only in Louisiana. The smell of the people barbequing is marvelous. Everyone has an abundance of food; therefore no one goes hungry and maybe have enough for leftovers the next day. After everything is over; the floats and eating, people pack their chairs, towels, bags of beads, barbeque pits and head on home after an exhaustive day. When they get home they take the beads out the bags and keep the ones they like and throw the rest in the bag, and the little kids look through the bags to find toys that they can play with.
when school was over that day, i had gotten so many good feedbacks from kids i knew and some i never seen around before. the news went through Centennial Elementary School so quick i felt lke a superstar being greeted from so many people. i met alot of new friends and i was happy i did accept the boys challenge. it broke me out of my shell and ever since then i wasnt scared to do something daring but was still smart about what i choose. im still shy to a certain point still to this day, but not as shy as i was before thanks to that stunt i had to pull off in fourth
Changing Tides In this time of my life, I am a full time college student who works part time and supporting a disabled husband. I am an easy going person who gets along with most people and works hard at whatever I do. At an early age, I was taught that the color of a person’s skin didn’t mean anything and I was friends with more non-white people than I was of people my own color. I didn’t see anything wrong with these people; I saw them as people who live, breath, bleed the same color blood, feel emotions and do everything that I could do. I come from a poor background where my mother worked two jobs and my grandmother took care of me.
He was sure though, that his mom always preferred that he be at home, no matter who was to tag along. He also knew – they would be well fed. “Will your mom make breakfast burritos?” Will asked. “You know she will, Will.” Garrison answered. They both chuckled at their pun.
In fact it is probably one of the most cost efficient family vacations you could plan. No air fare is needed as it is only an eight hour drive from our homes in Pennsylvania. No need to eat out. We will take turns cooking at the house. Your only food expenses are the groceries you would normally have purchased at home.
Angela Caputo Thanksgiving Writing Lab “Stand up straighter! Smile! Don’t squint!” At this point, I’m used to the orders being barked and can barely feel my lips from smiling so widely, let alone see with the blinding flashes from the yearly family portraits going off. So I know to do whatever it takes to end the pre-Thanksgiving dinner photo fest. Our family is all dressed up, and I can smell the evening’s food rooms away and hear the ending sounds of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade on the TV downstairs.
Basketball is my life! I can't imagine my life without it! I wake up early to go for a run every morning before school. Then come back to shelter to cook breakfast for all of the kids ages 5-10. I usually eat whatever is left over because we do not have a lot of food.
My sister was working, which meant it was only my niece and I alone at the house. A note was left on the counter that read ‘you guys need to do laundry and wash the dishes if you think you’re going anywhere tonight. Also, if you take the car, put gas in it. Love, Cinda.’ With that being said, we did some chores so that we could go out for the day, like we planned. We decided to make a huge breakfast and dance around the house with the music blasting, having a great time.
