This student survival guide is made to help me be successful in every class that I am scheduled to take at Axia College. This survival guide contains information learned in the class Skills for Learning in an information Age (Gen105). There are six major parts to this guide they are: the educational resources, maintaining academic honesty, ways to set and achieve goals, how to manage time wisely, reading and comprehension retention strategies, and applying personality and learning styles. They explain that setting long and short-term goals can help us accomplish the things we want out of life. Setting long-term goals helps us to better understand what we want out of life and the short-term goals we set help us better reach the long term goals. The reason we break down the long-term goals into short-term goals is because it makes it easier to stay focused on what we want to accomplish. Always start small and work your way bigger, you have a better chance of success this way. How to Manage Time Wisely Being able to manage time wisely is essential for success at Axia College. The main thing needed to manage time wisely is a schedule. A schedule helps people manage their time wisely because it makes it easier for people to prioritize the things they need done in order of importance. When things are prioritize in order of importance it helps keep things on track so therefore you have more time to get the important things done and less time to sit around and waste. I have also come to realize that no two people will have the same intelligence because their intelligence comes from their likes and dislikes. When you score low in certain intelligence you should always try to raise that intelligence to be a little higher.
