It was created in 1992 through the merging of the unions covering actors, journalists and entertainment industry employees. (Media) The relevant employer body is LPA, which stands for Live Performance Association. They are the peak body for Australia’s live entertainment and performing arts industry, it was established in 1917 and registered as an employers’ organisation under the Fair work Act 2009. (Australia) Other Professional associations can include ARIA, which stands for Australian Recording Industry Association, this professional association is active within the music industry and they act as an advocate for the industry both domestically and internationally. (ARIA) 3.6 Entertainment Enhancement Knowledge of the entertainment industry enhances the quality of work performance due to experience of the employees; if a problem arises then they are equipped to deal with it and in timely manner.
