International Business Essay Zara Case Study The information technology implementation of the Zara models described in the chapter was relatively challenging, in that it required establishing a dynamic access to several large live databases such as store inventory and sales, warehouse inventory. In order to compute under very stringent time constraints a large quantity of decisions which are critical to the company’s operation in the real-time controlled. When Zara tried their best to support the customer value proposition, Zara has developed an innovative and highly responsive design, production and distribution infrastructure around the world. For example, Zara’s supply chains involve two primary warehouses located in Spain which periodically receive shipments of finished clothes from suppliers. Moreover, the new information design technology helps Zara keep in touch with merchandise shipment directly to every Zara store in the world two times a week. Later on, two other warehouses in Madrid and León, Spain were connected into the warehouse controlled system which already connected into the worldwide information system. The development, implementation and impact of a new information technology process were used by Zara on a daily basis since 2006 in order to determine these shipment quantities to its sales channel. This advanced technology that Zara uses more practice-oriented compares to the conventional wisdom methods that many fashion clothes stores around the world. From beginning of the advance technology was applied into the Zara sales controlled system, this network was presented in 2005 from a contactor named Caro who study in University of California in United States.
