The different between whole food market and regular super markets are completely different. My group and I went on a journey to compare the prices of Whole Food and ShopRite market to feed a family of 4 for a Sunday of 3 meals breakfast, lunch, dinner and 2 snacks. The reason of this experiences is to gather information to see which market have better prices and quantity to feed this family. In my group we have 4 African American girls 1 Nigerian and 1 Hispanic so we decide that each culture pick a meal to learn what each other eat and buy from the market. We learned that the Hispanic girl cooks every day and for a family of 8 so when she go to the market she buy a lot of meats and vegetables that last for a week. The African American girls buy quick food and eat out a lot and the Nigerian go to the market every day because in her country that’s how they prepare for a meal. Our first market was Whole Foods when we first walked in we noticed all the foods were fresh. Also Whole Foods give you enough to only feed 2 people so everything was package every little so we had to get most items of 2 packs or 2lbs or the whole family will not be able to eat. We also talked to the employees in the meat department they was very nice and they helped us by weighing items proving us with how many pounds of meats we will need to feed a family of 4 without spending so much money. Whole Foods had products that we can try before we buy, for instance breads that were freshly made it was good and healthy but very different of other breads that I have had. The second market we choose to compare Whole Foods market to was ShopRite which we just picked the same items we gather from Whole Foods to see which prices and quantity is better in which market. For example Whole Foods corn were 4 for $2 and ShopRite were 6 for $2, Whole Food lemonade was $2.99 each and ShopRite was 3 for $5 so
