-Supporting people to exercise their rights-the rights of people are protected by law and in particular by the Human Rights Act 1998.Sixteen basic human rights have been incorporated into UK law. These rights protect everyone from harm, and set out what we can say and do, as well as our right to fair trial and other basic entitlement. We as care workers have an important role in upholding people’s rights. -Supporting people to exercise choices. Choice is not only for people who can speak for themselves.
Another opinion why this law should not be used today is because of crimal justice. Another opinion why this law should not be used today is because the person could run. Another opinion why this law should not be used today is because now there are camera's that capture everything we do. Another opinion why this law should not be used today is because it is stupid to kill someone just because they stole some property. Another opinion is because some people do not like to kill
I feel some crimes that have taken place in this country could have been stopped or lessened to a degree with a concealed firearm. The government can not ensure the 100 percent safety and wellbeing of all its citizens. For example the school shootings and workplace instances etc that happened in this country. But if there were more responsible law abiding people that had a concealed weapon on them some of these tragedies could have been avoided or at least minimized the damage that those criminals caused saving the lives of others is always a good thing. Criminals are not known for following the rules so all law abiding citizens have the right to defend themselves by any means needed.
there is no solid proof that the media causes violence, and although parents do a lot to help and protect their children, there are still some steps that can be taken to protect their children against violent and sexual material. Government intervention not stands for it. Violence starts at home, not on TV or in a computer game. America needs to stand together and fight youth violence and promiscuous sex without taking away the rights of citizens. We all want to help America's youth, but Government intervention (stronger enforcement of existing laws or new legislation) into availability of popular culture media would not help to reduce violence and promiscuous sex among America's
Video games are not the source of violence but they are consistently blamed; parents need to make sure that their own children are not exposed to media hype that would be considered as violent or damaging to their own kids. The media truly believes they are the scapegoat for anything that goes wrong with today’s society. Today’s parents are naïve and ignorant to the fact that they do not know how to regulate the things their children watch and they cannot control their own kids behavior so they immediately point the blame on someone else. They need to teach their children good morals and show them how playing with guns can change their lives forever. People who own guns need to keep them put away and out of the reach of children.
Student Professor English 305 6 November 2009 I Say No To Hate Crime Laws Hate crimes are an irrational, ignorant and cowardly expression of desperation. A person who commits a hate crime is desperate to feel better, superior and in control. That being said, there should not be special laws and mandatory sentences for people who commit these heinous acts of violence because they do not accomplish the goals of eradicating or deterring bigotry. If we, as a society, put special laws and punishments into our legal system, we are unequivocally saying that the motive of these acts is more important than the intent or outcome of these crimes. I do not believe this is true nor do I feel that this is the position of the majority of people in
Yes, everyone in the United States does have that freedom to choose, but killing their child should not even be an option when it means taking away that child’s right to life. Are we saying that an adult’s rights are more important than the rights of babies and
The legal system makes children understand that their actions have consequences keeping them from doing it again. They don’t get special treatment just because of their age. When a child turns 18 they are no longer considered a child, they are considered as adults. After 18 they should receive the same punishments as adults, When punishments are put on children who commit crimes t might lower the crime ratings. Others will hopefully learn from those mistakes and not do it.
The regime in control must shield the right to life, liberty and property. When Hospers states, “libertarians support all such legislation as will protect human beings against the use of force by others, for example, laws against killing, attempted killing, maiming, beating, and All kinds of physical violence”, he shows this to be true (Velasquez 677). Basically, the government should be the force acting against negative crime committed from one person to another. If the peace is kept mutual between the citizens in the society, the government should not be active at all. The property of a citizen should be kept in safety, Hospers says, “libertarians support legislation that protects the property rights of individuals against confiscation, nationalization, eminent domain, robbery, trespass, fraud and misinterpretation, patent and copyright, libel and slander” (Velasquez 677).
The author tried to convince the parent as well as the experts that being a teenager can’t be an excuse for committing sexting by using the logic strategy, “ But this is something that just cannot be dismissed as kids ‘ doing stupid things.’.”, And he or she was trying to convince the audience that the authorities don’t consider these teens a criminals, but they just want to put an end to this “dangerous new trend” as he or she used the ethos strategy, ”Authorities aren’t convicting children, but using the law as teaching tool and trying to put stop to a toxic new trend.” . The author used a pathos appeal when talking to the oppose experts by mentioning the sad story of Jessie’s subside, “ Bertani must not have heard of the Cincinnati suicide.” ; Also he or she used a logos appeal to convince the experts that this “dangerous new trend” is not a private issue and it is also due to the irresponsibility of the parent to their teens: “ The civil libertarians may wish to consider their position. They claimed it is a private matter best resolved by parental responsibility. Would it follow that their parental irresponsibility should make the parent the legally liable
