Barack Obama has failed to recognize the separation of powers and also fails to treat Congress as an equal branch of government. There are numerous instances in which Barack Obama has gone against the law and the Constitution. The fact that these laws can go broken with no punishment shows the effects of President Obama trying to change America. Before being elected, Barack Obama promised to “fundamentally transform the United States” (Does). He did fulfill this statement but not in the way he implied he would.
His main focus should be appealing to the middle-class Americans since they take up a majority of the population and seem to have the most struggles out of all the classes. Obama has appealed to the lower class a great deal and has probably locked in most of their votes which is why it is so necessary to focus on the classes that he knows he can win. Overall, whoever can come up with a stronger economic plan to help recover our nation will end up winning. However, the emotions of the American people are where any candidate should want to win their people over because Americans will follow their heart and if their heart is telling them which president is going to make their lives the best possible then that’s the way they will
Obama’s Deal Barack Obama wanted to remake America with universal healthcare. This would be a huge issue for the president to take on because no president has ever made headway on this comprehensive health care reform. The White House had a debate about whether they should actually go forward with it. Nexon argued that we should spend all our energy on the recession rather than launch a spending program at this time. Obama choose Rahm Emanuel’s as an inside deal maker and went a head with health care right away to make a strong point.
George W. Bush has no current plans to pull troops out of Iraq. He actually intends to send more. Americans are furious. Therefore, is now the time for a man with no military experience to enter office? If Obama took office in 2008 and the war continued, what would he do?
The long standing debate on whether amending the constitution to allow Naturalized citizens to run for presidency has formed arguments for and against the issue; all arguments stand with valid points. But as a democracy as the United States is, the government must consider the equal treatment of all its citizens including those naturalized. Loyalty to this country does not fall in place according to the country a person was born but by the values they were raised in. Not everyone has a realistic prospective of running for president whatever their background may be; but excluding certain citizens from consideration merely based on nativity is unjust and self-destructive. Kennedy states in his article “It makes second-class citizens of naturalized
10, by James Madison, comes at a time when America is starting to become a country of its own. America has won the Revolution and Madison is trying to get Americans to approve the new constitution. Madison’s editorial is the most influential in my opinion because it points out the negatives of the old system and how the new system will improve on these negatives. Madison explains that “instability, injustice, and confusion introduced into the public councils, have, in truth, been the mortal diseases under which popular governments have everywhere perished.” (Madison 53-54) Madison realizes that there are different opinions concerning everything from government to religion. He explains that since there are so many different opinions, arguments will occur.
policies on H-1B visa, despite the increasing number of industries claim more for the H-1B visa holders, there are still have a considerable critics argue that it is unfavorable for the United States to retain such a great deal of immigrants, which will definitely do great harm to the native workers. Since the employers in America intend to make more profit by cutting the training fees for skillful employees, and take advantage of the foreign cheap as well as skilled labor instead. Hence, the U.S. citizen workers, especially the elder people and the minority, will encounter the threat either be dismissed or be lower their wages than before. And the employee organizations have already attached much more concerns on this
“Too many voters had to wait on long lines to cast their ballots” and all Obama has to say on this regard is “By the way we have to fix that”, but indeed as said by Jeffrey Toobin of the New Yorker Magazine: “no fix is in the works and there probably never will”. As a demonstration to all those Democrat supporters out there and the rest of the Americans who allowed this president to be re-elected, he won’t even try and fix something as simple as voting, you think he’ll be able to fix problems of national proportion? No, of course not, he’ll only try and probably manage to fix the problems in a semi-conservative way, we on the other hand will
She has made statements asserting that President Obama is “anti-American”, and takes not only strong economic views, but strong social views farther to the right than the mainstream of America. Maybe none of these candidates will make a push for the White House in 2012, but one thing is certain: no matter who wins the presidency, the Tea Party will undoubtedly have a profound impact not only in 2012, but in the continued future of American
With unemployment at one of its highest peaks in history, Americans are worried they may be losing possible jobs to illegal immigrants. Also, the immigrants themselves are interested in the issue because they want to know what is going to happen to them. For the ones currently residing in America they want to know if they will be given the opportunity to become citizens or if they will be deported. For the immigrants currently living in their home countries, they want to know what they will face if they come to America and if it is still worth it to them. There are many constraints to consider: politicians that are stuck in their ways and are not willing to do what is best for the country, the American people who don’t want immigration because they won’t part with their beliefs and that are losing jobs to immigration, and the immigrants who have no other choice besides coming to America because they need to provide for their family and there are no jobs where they are from or it is just too dangerous to keep living
