The more I write the more I’m starting too actually like writing. There was a time when writing was my worst nightmare. I didn’t like writing but I knew it was something that I would have to start doing more and more of. Even to this day sometimes I still just watch the clock tick with nothing but a blank sheet of paper in front of me wait for my inspiration to come but sometimes it doesn’t show up. While creativity and inspiration play an important role in my writing I also try to have good organization skills along with good discipline and I always go over my writing numerous times to check for eras. All these things are critical in becoming a good writer. One way that I start my writing exercise is by brainstorming. Brainstorming is meant to write down many thoughts and ideas on a given topic. Many times instead of putting whole sentences or phrases to paper I just create a list of everything that I want to talk about. My brainstorming might contain various individual thoughts or ideas that make sense in a particular order or ideas that are linked together by association with previous ideas. Brainstorming works well when I have a limited amount of time to get something done. Another writing technique that I use is the free writing technique. Free writing is used by a lot of people when it comes to writing. It works well when I have some thoughts on a topic, but I can’t envision them as an essay. Free writing also functions as a developmental tool that allows me to put all of my ideas into an essay. A lot of times when I use this it often surprise me with what comes out on paper. When using the free writing technique it is common me for to discover a thought or point that I didn’t realize I may have had. When writing I always want to use good discipline. Whether it is staying on task the whole time I’m writing or sticking to your outline it is very important to
