Jamba Juice is viewed to be one of the leading restaurant-retailer of better-for-you juices, beverages and snack food. The menu consists of fresh squeezed juices, fruit smoothies, a variety of hot teas, and baked snacks. Jamba Juices success is because the company closely follows the mission statement of “establishing Jamba Juice as the world's leading source of healthy energy in the form of freshly blended beverages with an uncompromising commitment to making a difference through our values” (Jamba). The mission of Jamba Juice is to also provide the highest quality of customer service while keeping their cost at a minimal. Since the economic melt-down in 2008 many snack and juice retailers had to struggle to survive. Jamba Juice maintained the value of their mission statement and was able to go through the hard times with some success. Value Discipline Jamba Juice, during the economic crisis, has set the standard for all other juice and smoothie establishment with some even ending up in bankruptcy. One reason for Jamba Juices success is the fact that they keenly observe their value discipline of operational efficiency and to maintain said operational efficiency with as low a cost as possible. Jamba Juice is known for its low cost juices and snacks in their industry and has changed the way consumers viewed retail fast juices. This discipline has made Jamba Juice the preferred choice of consumers in the retail juice market. Jamba Juice from inception decided on the type of product to offer the consumer market.
