Should girls be allowed to play boys sport There is no gender-based physiological reason to separate females and males in sports competition. In fact, research demonstrates that girls who participate with boys in youth sports have shown better performance than boys. Competition groupings should be organized around skill and experience and not based on the sex. In spite of these, I would say there is a lot of difference in physique of men and women. Traditionally, male athletes are supposed to be in rough and tumble sports. They are supposed to be hard bodied, passionate about the game, and willing to play no matter what the circumstances. Women player may be passionate about their game but are smaller in built which is a negative point. Also, the idea that the women will lose their femininity if they play with men is another reason to keep them off the field and out of the ring. For women to be taken seriously in a male dominated sport they have to not only be the best female in the ring, gym, or wherever, they also have to be the best overall athlete. It is even a fact that women are thought of as more fragile, and less aggressive than men. Men also have a sweet corner for women and there may be a change to get more attention in the game. Scientifically, its clear that even when a boy and a girl are the same height and weight, the boy will have more fat-free mass (a greater percentage of his body will be muscle) than the girl.
