I try to avoid conflicts and protect the least advantaged without creating unnecessary hassles for the rest. One of my weaknesses is that I trust reasonable systems to solve most problems. Because of that I run the risk to be considered authoritarian and assuming that my way is best, which is not at all my intention. At some point I could become isolated because not everyone can guarantee equality. My obsession with justice could drive those I care about most away from me.
I am neutral on my results of the future portion of the survey. Future-focused people are very driven, centered around objectives, and fond on making schedules. They have a reasonable thought of where they need to get in life and spend the present working towards accomplishing their objectives. I have future goals that I want to complete and spend every moment I have working towards completing it. Then again, I do not work as indicated by agendas and in order to start achieving my goals, I need to be highly motivated.
It is a skill in itself to be able to listen to feedback carefully without becoming defensive. It is often easy to begin to defend the reasons why I do things, but the key is to remember that the focus is on improving performance. It is my responsibility to ensure my knowledge and skills are up to date. It is important to regularly attend training and refresher courses such as First Aid, health and safety training. Legislations and procedures are constantly changing and it is important to maintain your knowledge and keep it correct.
I am willing to put in the time and effort necessary in order to do something that I love; therefore, I hope to gain leadership qualities and establish the foundation that will help to make me successful through my learning experience from the National Society of Leadership and Success.
