They have for years owned the exclusive rights to the Apple iPhone which has become one of the most demanded and popular consumer electronic devices in years (“Next Generation Integrated Communications Products”, n.d.). AT&T also has some weakness within the cellular communications industry. They have experienced complaints from consumers about problems with their wireless service and its reliability. They have had problems accommodating to demand that the popularity of the iPhone and its multiple versions have brought them (such as the newest iPhone 4), which has also affected their service because of the sheer amount of data usage on their network (Media Kit: iPhone 4. 2010).
Marketing Techniques In recent years Apple has diversified their business massively, increasing their sales and effectively battling, but edging it, with Samsung for the phone market. Apple has penetrated the market by using network companies such as O2, Orange and 3. When you sign a contract with either of the network providers, most commonly a 24 month contract will see you paying a monthly fee for your service. When penning the contract you will see yourself with an iPhone 3GS… 24 Months later the provider will give you the option to upgrade to a better device, this will see yourself with an iPhone 4S. What I have just described is the process of getting an upgrade at the end of your contract, this is how Apple penetrate the market as when you upgrade, you will most likely go with a newer version of your old phone as you are used to the operating system and how the phone works.
Initially making them the highest ranked in technology of their times. Companies often question how they would go about globalizing and succeeding in an establishment that has potential growth within the company. Apple Inc. began globalizing by integrating their worldwide strategy, not only in their products, design,
Apple’s headquarters is in Cupertino, California, CEO and co-founder is Steve Jobs and the company boasts 284 retail locations spanning 10 different countries. 1.2: Customer Interaction Channels Steve Jobs understood one major conundrums of technology, if you create products that are easy to use, the variety of things that people want to use technology for often creates complexity. Consumers at all levels may need some hand holding from time to time. Most people have a working understanding of the fact that Apple lost the PC wars to Microsoft, and only nominally understand that when Apple created the iPod and the iPhone, the company started to go in a new but great direction. And anyone who’s gone into an Apple store knows full well that Apple’s customer service and stores represent the gold standard for selling and supporting tech gadgets.
The record companies were initially happy receiving $0.70/song from Apple since prior to this arrangement, they were not getting paid for downloaded music (Brickley, Smith, & Zimmerman, 2009). As the digital market gets bigger, the record companies are getting dissatisfied with Apple’s pricing policy and are pushing for a change to a complex pricing policy, where new and popular songs will be priced higher. They have complained that Apple’s is using their music to promote the sale of the iPod since music from the iTunes store is only compatible with the Apple software. As of January 2008, all four major record companies agreed to allow Amazon.com sale their music in the MP3 format without the digital locks that restricts users from making copies of the songs though each of the companies excluding EMI Group requires Apple to sell their music with all the digital rights (Brickley, Smith, & Zimmerman, 2009). Analyzing the managerial Decisions 1.

Circuit City was a mom-and-pop television store back in the late 40s. Circuit City was starting to grow because they were the first to come out with the superstore format. Through the years, which made them really popular, they started selling appliances and popular electronics.
In the past Samsung has been known for problems that I like to call “feature spam” It was very apparent last year with Samsung’s Galaxy S4, Samsung has developed a habit of stuffing as many gimmicky new features as into its flagship device, thinking the features will appeal to customers. While the Galaxy S5 follows the same pattern. However these features aren’t only useful, they’re awesome. Many of these features are very unique as well. The Galaxy S5 features an IR blaster, techie translation “The IR blaster acts as a remote for any TV, set top box, cable provider, etc.” The iPhone can gain these features, not without third party software/hardware combinations.
There is a lot of money to be made in the online prescription industry. The company spreads the wealth to doctors, pharmacies, online marketers, credit card companies ect. Jobs are created in several countries and many involved will claim they don’t realize what they are doing is unethically and in some instances illegal. They claim they want to help those who cannot afford health care and there for cannot go see a physician in their office. Others feel that doctors overcharge for certain medicines such as fertility medicines that by ordering them online with instructions can save a couple trying to conceive up to $10,000.
Apple became the fourth –largest PC vendor in the US market with an 8% share by the end of 2009. Its market capitalization went to $220 billion in spring of 2010. Through multi-million dollar marketing campaigns such as the successful “Think Different” ads and catch slogan, Apple promoted itself as a hip alternative to other computer brands. It also highlighted its computers as the world “greenest lineup of notebooks”. The goal of Apple is to differentiate its products amid intense competition in the PC and mobile device industry.
Microsoft's ongoing legal battle with Samsung Rights over patents can be licensed out in numerous ways so that the licensee is authorized to use certain component of the technology with the author’s permission and pay the licensor on usage basis. The two multinational technology giants are engaged in a royalty wrangle over patents concerning smartphones. Microsoft has contended that Samsung delayed paying it $1 bn in patent royalties in the year 2013 for the use of Android owes interest to the tune of $6.9 million and eventually filed a lawsuit in a New York district court. Meanwhile, Samsung filed for arbitration in Hong Kong's International Court of Arbitration to avoid cumbersome litigation and come to an agreement. According to the agreement, in simple words, Samsung had to pay royalty fees on every android phone it sold.
