“A Birthday Gone Wrong” During my eighteenth birthday, the worst turn of events the all occurred on the most ironic of days. This day started out to be a great day but by the end, it was a nightmare. I went bowling with my boyfriend, Manny and his family then went back to his house to spend more time with him. During the stay with Manny and his family, a heavy amount of negative comments were thrown at me. Lastly, I spent a horrible night with my family ending with nothing but tears and for a night I wished that never happened. I planned to go out with my family but due to their complex schedule changing, arrangements were changed for my birthday. My stubborn mother yelled at me and did not want anything to do with me. My mother made me believe that it was not my birthday, I went out with Manny and his family to his nephew, Felix’s who was also had the same birthday as I. Since both Felix and I shared the same birthday on same day, it gave me more of a reason to spend time with Manny and his family. We went bowling and it started fun, I was starting to grow angry at Manny and his mother Olga. Since Olga started making fun of me how I reacted when I was losing, I kept getting gutter balls and missed several pins, I started ranting towards her under my breath. As I tried to get a strike, I heard Olga, talking about me to her daughter, Mille. I could not make clear of what the whole conversation yet, Olga would say “Wow, she is getting mad over some stupid game, Manny does not need her, and he needs a new girlfriend.” I just ignored the conversation that Olga and her Mille had. Manny saw the expression and he knew that I was upset or aggravated. He would ask “Stop being mad” or “Stop getting mad over a stupid game”, and I would respond as “I am not mad at all.” I denied that I was upset, he kept constantly asking me that same question “Are you okay?” I answered
