Role of Expert System Nursing care and medicine has expanded the growth of health care to a modern technology system. Nurses are completing his or her degree in preparation not only to critical think, but also to function in modern technology systems. Health care facilities are putting more finances into training staff to meet the demands of patients in developing advance care plans, making prompt decisions, and meeting goals. The role of an expert systems is to transform the delivery and the recovery of the patients’ health status. An expert system implements the decision of the computer system without control by the user, according to Englebardt and Nelson (2002). The health care professions who collects the data would input the information, the computerized expert system would implement the decision in the form of the data. The expert systems are used throughout the health care systems in hospitals, home health, and pharmaceuticals to secure appropriate decisions within a safely manner for patients and the health care professions. According to Darvish, Muminoy, and Darvish (2012), the role of management science methods in solving the health problems is a clear potential for improvement. Clinical decision support system (CDSS) is implemented the health system to promote quality health care services by making appropriate diagnosis and decisions to improve the patient’s health status. The system gives health care professions confidence in making decisions and the system promotes education to health care professions and to patients. Petri net is assumed that by using management challenges we can provide better services and decrease the costs for patients and then we can design the clinical decision expert system, according to Darvish, Muminoy, and Darvish (2012).
