Our freedoms are what set American’s apart from other countries. For example, the amendment is a great example of what I mean. Americans like me have the opportunity to a good education and receive a good career apart from some countries. American people of all different races and religious can live and work together because everyone is allowed an equal opportunity. Americans are united we take pride in our country.
Speeches are one of the great influencers of the American Peoples. The Presidents’ speeches are both extremely similar. President Roosevelt made a conscious effort to reference American’s past battles as well as Presidents pointing out the strength of the people. President Obama also made these reference points and both stated that help needed to be given to countries less fortunate. The freedom from fear ideals have remained the same as the United States will always fight to protect those who are struggling for democracy and independence from dictate rulers.!

When most people hear the word freedom they think government or democracy. However, living in a free country means you have freedom in every aspect of your life, whether with politics, work, education, ect. As American citizens we can do almost anything our heart desires, because America is the land of opportunity and we take advantage of that.
