Bell LDR802 Progressions in Leadership Thought January 23, 2013 Introduction Empirical articles are research article that provides results of a study that utilizes information received from actual experiments and observations. The two empirical research articles studied for this paper were J. S. Ponder study titled Transformational Leadership: Practicing What We Teach in the Management Classroom and S. Bolkan and A. K. Goodboy study titled Transformation Leadership in the Classroom: Fostering Student Learning, Student Participation, and Teacher Credibility. Ponder (2008) proposed to study the effects of transformational leadership style used by university business instructors in the classroom of undergraduate business students. In a similar line of study, Bolkan and Goodboy (2009) proposed to examine transformational leadership as it relates to college classrooms, outcomes of student learning, participation of students and instructor credibility from the student perceptions.
Dual Professionalism - Roles and Responsibilities 1. Introduction The primary purpose of my current role and responsibilities is to support and maintain the University’s national and international reputation for excellence in teaching and research. Contribution to teaching includes course development and innovation, lecturing, participation in Knowledge and Teaching Partnerships (KTPs), and supervising undergraduate and post-graduate students. I am making contributions to excellence in research, in my specialist area through publications and other mechanisms. I am also expected to participate in overall contribution of the school, where appropriate, and as directed by my manager.
College education will provide a clear direction that will help motivate me to make better decisions in all aspects of my life. It will be an accomplishment that I can look back and say I was able to follow through and finish. Education will benefit me in having the ability to solve problems which will be an important skill to have throughout the rest of my life. My current course of study is in Computer Information Systems. I have always wanted to pursue a career in the computer technology field.
FDU also provides students with the opportunity to achieve hands on experience through internship programs, which will enhance my developmental skills and prepare me professionally. College has always been a frontier in not only ensuring academically distinct and intellectual students, but also providing said students with a lot of social communities
It not only provides more opportunities and options but also more academic potential. It also adds value when it comes to securing certain top positions. These values are given to you for working hard and achieving the status of a successful human being. Schools teach you good morals on how to do an effort, how to work hard, how to achieve things, how to become an adult, and how to work with others and get results. “The choices you make now, the people you surround yourself with, they all have the potential to affect your life, even who you are, forever” (Xplore).

Many people resort to this for a variety of reasons. Some do not have a lot of motivation to study, or simply just do not like doing it, and some have very little time to apply towards studying because they have a busy schedule.
