Being successful inside and outside of the classroom is something I want to accomplish. Being a part of a community such as the honors college will give me additional motivation to be academically successful. I enjoy giving my time and services to others in need. I am always interested in volunteering, but right now I just do not know how. There are resources offered at the honors college I plan on taking advantage of, that offer exploring ways to help out in the community and on campus.
Why College Matters College has always been a topic discussed by a high quantity of people. It is usually a top priority on a lot people’s mind after they graduate from high school. This is mainly because they want to further their education and earn a degree in their chosen field in order to have a successful career in life. There are numerous reasons why college matters and plays an important role to help people be successful in life. The first reason is because a lot of people want a job that will pay very good money.
The knowledge I gain from attending (school name here) will enable me to excel in both the technical and professional aspects of my work, offering me continual growth. With a foundation built upon a strong confidence to succeed combined with the skills I develop at (school name here), I expect to produce high quality design work in my future career. In this journey of my college life i would have to say that it has been the biggest milestone for me. I have been able to see how college education is a very valuable thing and everyone should be able to get one so that we can all be enlightened and help make our society a better place. College is a place where people come together in an environment that helps nurture their educational and professional curiosities. I have been able to have different encounters with all kinds of different people in many different settings and this has given me a big boost of confidence. College education has a profound effect in my life , it has helped me chose my career more wisely and the college experience has made me become more confident and make better and well judged decisions.
LIFE EXPERIENCES As I have experienced many things in my life, I am now more prepared to go through my degree program because of my personal desire to be successful. I have the full support of my immediate family that matters most to me. Although I am just beginning on my journey to a degree with Ashford University, the staff has been very helpful and supportive in helping find the right program and get started on the right track. My previous school experience in the traditional setting, as well as, online has prepared me to continue my higher learning education
The impact of the effects of widening participation in higher education, along with greater diversity in the ways in which students learn, provides a climate where increased numbers of students can and need to benefit from supported development of their employability skills. Student employability profiles have been created which indicate the skills that typically can be developed through the study or particular subjects. The profiles are for use by Subject Centre staff in support of their academic communities’ promotion of employability skills development, to the benefit of current and prospective students and employers alike. Rationale • Students seem to benefit greatly from work placement experience and give very positive feedback; there is no formal vehicle at present to obtain feedback from employers, especially SMEs. • There is an apparent mismatch of students’ initial expectations in studying for a Business Management degree and the longer term benefits.
Being open-minded to learn or do new things can show one's true passion for a profession. Lastly, Many students go into college and change their major at least once, going through college helps show you what you really want to invest your time in as a profession (Importance of College Education). It’s okay if one doesn’t know what they want to do going into college, there are many things offered in college someone can learn to love, and want to do in the future. These programs will have a culturally diverse faculty, staff and student body, and the curricula in these programs will be state-of-the-art, fully staffed, and sufficient in kind and number to meet the needs of its clientele. The College's fully accredited programs will receive exemplary status on all pertinent performance reports. Assessment systems will ensure quality program development which, in turn, will have resulted in high levels of authentic student learning. The programs will have integrated technology including distance learning and web-based courses.
A college degree in Elementary Education is essential to me because I want to teach others the value of fun, learning, and the capability to be involved in exciting adventures throughout life. My personal goal is to obtain my bachelors degree in education. GCU is working as a team to help guide me through the higher education process. The team consists of a support system that can direct me academically and emotionally. The academic counselors are on hand to help answer questions, providing constructive criticism as well as positive comments and rewards.
