Example 1: Separation/Divorce When a couple is getting divorce or separated with young children this can affect their behaviour patterns for example by getting into trouble with police or in school which will give them the attention they need while they may not be getting as much with the parents concentrating on their situation. This can cause various things in the child such as not eating due to the stress and anxiety caused by what will happen to their family home due to moving to new school or just being in a single parent family which can be a big change. It can be much more of a factor for a young person when it becomes general knowledge in their friendship circle. Other disadvantages from this situation can be that sometimes a single parent can’t afford expensive holidays which would make the child feel left out when they are talking about events when after coming back from their holidays and are asked to write or tell about what happened during the school holidays.

I fear that because of her lack of a healthy social lifestyle, that if she should lose someone from her family system, that it may be traumatic for her and very difficult for her to recover, maybe impossible. There isn’t enough information in the case to determine the cause of Andrea mental health illnesses, but from the information given by Andrea mother and son, Andrea seems to be this loving, caring young women. Andrea medications alone may also be an issue. Andrea should have therapy along with the medications, not just the medications alone is enough for her mental health issues. They are many issues in our lives that can have an impact on children/young people, this could be Social factors -Illness/disability- this can cause a child to miss out on a large chuck of the education and struggle to achieve due to them taking frequent visits to the hospital or that they have to stay at home most of the time. It may cause them to miss out on activities such as sports, which could leave them feeling isolated and full of resentment and may cause them to have behavioural problems. It can also cause people to misjudged them as lacking intelligence and therefore given challenge, leading to boredom and perceived disruptive behaviour If the child is the carer of parents with illness/disability this can lead to emotional difficulties, they may struggle to understand the role reversal they are experiencing, view themselves as being more mature than their peers which can result in them struggling to form friendships and may become resentful at missing out on the childhood and present challenging behaviour. They may suffer anxiety whilst away from home and worry about their parents, resulting failure to engage in their education. -Poor parental supervision/neglect- children need routine, guidance, love, boundaries, positive discipline etc.
Learning about new things should be enjoyable when instead, it is doing the exact opposite and making children stress over it and hate the idea of it. Along with all of this stress, there comes even more negative effects on the average student. Having to deal with great amounts of stress, some students don’t know how to cope with it which results in their physical health deteriorating.
