Specific Purpose Statement: After listening to my speech my audience will obtain to achieving a flatter belly. I. Introduction: A. Did you know that having a flatter belly and strong firm abs is the single most important step you can take into living a healthy long life, not only will you look and feel better; but you will also live better. B. I will explain three main points as in to why having a flatter belly will make you live a better life, why it will have you live a better happier and longer life, how you can achieve this goal, what you should eat to help melt and keep the fat off. II. Body: A. Belly fat is the most dangerous fat in your entire body. It’s labeled as visceral fat. For those of you that don’t know what visceral fat is- it is the fat that hides behind your abs and surrounds your organs. Because of this it can easily get to your heart and many other important organs as well. This is why belly fat can kill you. Researchers of The university of Alabama-Birmingham determined that the more visceral fat (belly fat) a person carries were many steps closer to a heart disease risk. Belly fat doesn’t just sit around and do nothing it like the rest of our body, functions. One function that they do have is releasing free fatty acids that weaken the ability to break down the hormone insulin (too much insulin in your system can lead to diabetes). Insulin is what takes glucose from the blood and stores it as glycogen in the liver and muscle. Not only will having a flatter belly good for your health but also emotionally good. When you look good, you feel good. Having strong abs reduces body fat tremendosouly and reduces your chances of many and plenty of diseases. A flatter belly improves sex life.
