The Darwin High School dress code allows students to express their unique individuality; students of Darwin High School have the right of free expression. Students are given the opportunity to seen as individuals but the dress code keeps students dressing appropriately to show respect to the teachers of the school. One of the main purposes of the school’s dress code is to protect the student’s individual safety. The dress code’s implementation is fair and sensible, is shows that the school does not tolerate students who choose to rebellious and break the school’s dress code. Darwin High School’s dress code gives students the freedom to express their personality but also sets boundaries for students to comply.

Ethics and Values in Academia Ethics and values in academia, is what drives communities to co-exist in throughout the world. According to the University Of Phoenix Student Code Of Conduct, students are expected to act in a manner that adheres to high moral principles and professional standards befitting a responsible member of the academic community. They must willingly demonstrate courteous and respectful communication when engaged in any and all forms of communication related to academia. Students of the University of Phoenix must recognize they have an obligation to adhere to the rules and standards outlined in the Code of Conduct and other University Policies as listed in the University Catalog. There are clear procedures for checking the reliability and accuracy of all publicity, marketing and student materials, such as module handbooks and programme leaflets. The College's marketing department is responsible for publishing information about the higher education provision at the College to potential students and produces key documents such as the prospectus and course information sheets as well as the College website. The marketing department has well-established procedures to ensure the accuracy, relevance and timeliness of the information published. Giving a good duty of care is getting to understand different lifestyles and cultures respecting the individuality and diversity of the people who enter the hospital. Not discriminating against people because they have different ways of life or have different beliefs. Ensure that your behaviour, words and actions and those of people working in your area support a commitment to equality of opportunity, diversity and inclusion. It is important that I know my personal responsibilities and liabilities under the equality legislation and any relevant codes of practice. Also to be aware of the diversity and needs of your patients and identify areas where needs could be better satisfied and where the diversity of patients could be improved.
Communication between colleagues is essential, so that it ensures a continuity of care for the patient and all staff are aware of the current needs for the patient. 1.2 Effective communication is important as it ensures that all the information is clear, accurate, non-judgmental, and informative. This reduces the possibility of mistakes being made and ensuring appropriate care service delivery. It is important to work as a team with your colleagues so that you all work to achieve the same outcomes and targets. During my shift I would by communicating with others with handovers to other colleagues, electronically via PDAs or the terrafix system and over telephones.
However, life skills and character building should also be included during college and universities. This could be classified as the secondary mission of college and university. This is to ensure that the students have the right character when they enter a workforce and could adapt to their working environment easily. Co-operation between members is definitely necessary as no man is an island by
Personal responsibility is motivation towards succeeding in college. A student could improve and maintain their college grades when accepting personal responsibility. Using excuses and blaming others can reduce personal responsibility when trying to achieve a goal. I hold myself accountable for every decision I make. I think long and hard and weigh the pros and cons before I come to a conclusion, because my outcome will not only affect me, but everyone around me also.
I rarely call in sick. I am conscientious about supplies that are used, being careful not to contaminate or use more supplies than necessary. When patients are admitted to our unit, I start discharge planning and instructions as soon as possible in order to make the discharge from the unit as expedient as possible. Professional development: I am able to improve my personal performance at work by attending continuing education courses, attending hospital training classes and inservices, and maintaining nurse licensure that is always in good standing. I read professional nursing journals and visit nurse websites in my free time to keep up to date on new trends, treatments, and medications.
