Darwin High School’s dress code is sensible in its rule and implementation to teachers, students and the school’s reputation. The Darwin High School dress code allows students to express their unique individuality; students of Darwin High School have the right of free expression. Students are given the opportunity to seen as individuals but the dress code keeps students dressing appropriately to show respect to the teachers of the school. One of the main purposes of the school’s dress code is to protect the student’s individual safety. The dress code’s implementation is fair and sensible, is shows that the school does not tolerate students who choose to rebellious and break the school’s dress code. Darwin High School’s dress code gives students the freedom to express their personality but also sets boundaries for students to comply. Education is a school’s primarily function but secondarily is platform for socialization where clothing plays a major role. Darwin High School’s dress code inhabits student’s individuality for future life. Although uniforms create a sense of belonging in a school, Darwin High School’ dress code allows students to feel individual from others. The school’s dress code sets a path for students to have a right to individuality, to make choices and to express their personality through clothing. Students who feel more comfortable in their own clothing will have a greater desire of attending school every day. One of Darwin High School’s dress code’s main purposes is to protect the student’s personal safety while attending school.
