Well, there are many students that do not head straight home after classes end, like the student mentioned above. Some stay after to discuss things with classmates, speak with their professors in their office, study, or even grab a late meal. Also, during two weeks of every semester, Oviatt Library has extended hours to 11:00 pm, even on Fridays. If a highly popular building is open to students, how can a safety service not
Admissions Committee, Being born and raised in Shippensburg I have always wanted to attend Shippensburg University. While in elementary school I was diagnosed with dyslexia and a slight learning disability. I was placed in the learning support program in the second grade using an IEP I was able to excel in all subjects maintaining a high GPA throughout high school. I excelled at mathematics and science courses often tutoring other students during free time. I am proud to be a 2010 graduate of Shippensburg Area Senior High school where I have found memories of the teaching staff and all the help they provided.
Although, I love going to temple at home and I love having Shabbat dinner with my family on Friday nights, Eisner is the one place where I am completely immersed in Judaism. Judaism is not only something to be studied; it is something to be lived. At Eisner, this is
Sometimes, we can smell a fall fire in the air as we approach our destination. For these reasons I’ve stated, not only do we get to enjoy our friends and family along the way, but we can embrace all that is fall on our walk to Whitey’s. The relationship between taste and emotion is clear; Whitey’s pumpkin flavored ice cream is probably the best ice cream in the QCA. I understand that some may not like the flavor of pumpkin but, if given a try you may just be converted like me. This ice cream is so good that Whitey’s has it’s own website, you can view the menu and order ice cream online from anywhere in the
Most days during the week I commute back and forth between Milwaukee and Chicago for school. It’s a grueling process to balance the traveling with school, job-hunting, and any other attempts at settling down in the big city. I have a house with my parents about a hundred miles north but I wouldn’t exactly call it a home. On the nights I stay in Chicago I’ll be at the hostel or at a friends to keep me off the street. Wherever I go I carry my home with me, and that home is just one cute and sturdy Timbuk2 messenger bag.
To her its all about staying alive and helping family no one else matters. To begin with, the setting is crazy at first because there was thunder, lightning and lots of rain in Springfield. After a while things start to be a little more normal until it was December that’s when they first started to get snow and it was freezing so everyone had to move together in the sunroom where it was a little bit more warmer so none of them had privacy. In addition, the main characters are Miranda, Matt, Jonny, and their mom. Two special traits they exhibit are that they all love eat other and are willing to do anything for one another.
Monroe Park Campus I went to Monroe Park at the VCU campus. I pass it everyday on my way to my home, but last Thursday I observed few things I would not realize if I did not walk there with a partner for a while and watched everything carefully. I could not help but notice the shape of the park and how complicated it is. All the ways are crossing each other. A large group of people was setting with each other, talking in a language I could not understand, some of them were eating, and the others were just laughing.
Jory Marini-Berry AP language Lake Placid was always a place I enjoyed as a kid because we had a hockey tournament there each year. I loved the ride up. It had a relaxing array of scenery that I didn't get to see often. Thinking of those trips brings back good memories that are filled with jokes, music, and stories. My dad and I normally made fun of each other and had everyone else in stitches.
I had lot of support making sure that I was not facing the difficulties or challenges alone. I had the chance of meeting the most wonderful young lady in my school, she have been the most supportive woman I could have ever meet in high school. She was there with me every single step of high school and getting all my school information organized the way they are supposed to be. With Ms. Francis help I learned a lot of skills that I never know I could have mastered in school at all. I am a person who love being in school that’s where my family lies, school have a lot of different people but the god ones are hard to fine.
Colten Barrett Comp II 9/5/2012 Dr. Smith Thanksgiving Dinner Thanksgiving is a holiday filled with feasting, joy, bonding and memories. My family along with millions of other American families every year, come together to celebrate everything that we have been grateful for throughout the year. We celebrate by feasting on some of our most savored dishes; some dishes happen to be a family tradition and are served at every Thanksgiving. Every year my family celebrates Thanksgiving at my grandma and grandpa’s house. By the time every one gets to Grandma’s house, the house is already filling up with fabulous smells of pie, meat, and other wonderful foods and to top it off the smell of fresh cut grass blowing in for the opened windows throughout the house.
