I need to be aware of the most up to date legislations and guidelines, and the welfare requirements. As a member of management it is even more vital that I am aware and up to date with the above, as part of my role is to guide, support and influence other staff to do well in their own roles. Your own professional development does not only impact on yourself but other staff, the organisation and people who use the service. Reflective practice is a huge part of professional development and you need to be skilful in this to really benefit from it, criticising your own practice isn’t always easy but if you take a step back and look at it from different points of view it can really benefit yourself and your skills. To improve my own knowledge is very important to me and I really enjoy learning new skills which can benefit my roles or future roles.

Training needs analysis is a good tool to use when looking at the development of a team including yourself. This gives priority a new meaning because placing value on family and salary and certain things you want and need out of a job make a difference on what kind of job that maybe in mind. This creates an action plan in which requires a person to set limits to what needs to be given up for what job you want or want to work up too. Setting career priorities define my goals and help me look for a job because it makes me want to accomplish every goal I set for myself, so I can be happy and have everything I need to live and survive with. It is important when evaluating career variables because it helps me define my potential and where I want to spend my time working.
No matter what mistakes or bad choices you have made, you can dust yourself off and try again. The most motivational piece to me “I know I can, be what I wanna be, if I work hard at I be where I wanna be.” this motivates me because it teaches me that in order to get where I want to get I have to work hard for it. You have to work hard and struggle to be the best and have the best. Many people put their obstacles and past experiences in the way of being successful and use that as an excuse. When you are striving to be the best you have to keep in mind that “its not going to be easy but at the end its worth it.” This song has taught me to keep my head up no matter what my obstacles and tribulations are and to keep
In life, it is important to set goals. Many people set their goals high to challenge themselves, while others set them low so they can at least say they accomplished something. Having goals can keep you on the right track to accomplishing them, and set your mind on something. If you didn't set your goals, your life will have no challenge. Every time you set a goal, you’re not just going to blow it off; you’re going to work hard to accomplish that goal.
