Financial expenses, the lack of readiness responsibility and choosing the wrong major are some specific reasons for college students to flunk out the college. Typically, students who drop their classes in order to not attaining any passing grade claim that the one reason they have to stop going to the college is that they have deficient financial backing from their families and the student aid or grant programs. Survey takers from U.S Department of Higher Education Board say that “58% of college dropouts said that they had no help from their parents, compared with 37% among students who graduated. Similarly, 69% said that they had no scholarships or loans, compared with 43% among students who graduated”. The students who are agonizing the financial difficulties have to search for a job to pay for their collage or support their families.
He voices his opinion on how high school was, how high school is now, and how it could make or break your next four years from all the upsets, hardships and bullying. Fifty years ago, things were way different than how they are today. Kids had to go to school and were respectful to their peers or they would get in a huge amount of trouble, kids were expected to help their parents around the house or does some yard work outside. Nowadays kids do nothing and expect so much in return. If they do not get what they want when they want it, usually they will pitch a fit or they will not speak to their parents and the end result of that situation is the kid ends up getting it.
Other disadvantages from this situation can be that sometimes a single parent can’t afford expensive holidays which would make the child feel left out when they are talking about events when after coming back from their holidays and are asked to write or tell about what happened during the school holidays. The child will lose their self confidence and moral will be low if all the factors above do occur, they may also get jealous of other children who could be in a better situation because of the financial stability brought by having both the parents being together. This can be a result of laziness or even shame. Often times, a rough home life may be the reason for a child to do poorly academically. These days, many children do not have what used to be considered a common home life, with two parents in the home. In these situations, the student should not be allowed to coast through school with nothing but sympathy. Instead, the child’s home life should be taken into consideration, and dealt with on a case-by-case basis.

Divorce is a huge topic a lot of parents think about when they feel that there spouse is no longer compatible with them and also the fact that it’s not working out for reason only they will know. It may just be the fact that two people that were deeply in love just feel out of it because of no connection anymore. In the article “Just Whom Is This Divorce” Good” For? Written by Elizabeth Marquart talks about how divorce can cause children even from a good divorce go through it there selves when they get older, children also feel that they are to blame for their parents getting divorced and they lose all interest for other things, there is also a lot of controversy about which parent gets which day can just lead up to a huge custody battle for most.
Kids without parents suffer the most, there is no mutual agreement for what's best for the child. The mother would like to have things her way and the father his. They can't combine the sight of each other, even if it means sake of their child. This makes very hard for the child and for the school and for other facilities that has to accommodate for both parents separately. For example “in parent teacher conferences there are two copies of report cards, two of everything because the parents can't agree to share.” This is very sad.
Teachers have been getting replaced left and right because of their inability to control the students in the classroom. Many parents are removing their children out of Augusta Schools in order for them to have a better chance of being successful. Also because Augusta is a failing school, teachers fresh out of college come teach at the school for a minimum of two years. After their two years are up most teachers would leave to go teach at a school of their choosing. On the other hand, replacing these teachers maybe was a good move made by the State Department.
I think it is unfair how Rose had to suffer in lower level classes, and I think it is a relatable story for the present day. For two years Rose was uneducated, the teachers in these classes thought the students couldn’t be taught. This isn’t right to not educate anyone because you assume things. Rose was slapped around, because the teacher thought it would make him a “man”. I think doing that would make someone feel less like a man.
Once I began attending the new school things were difficult because my new teacher was completely different from my previous teacher. I would get into trouble for not following directions and it was also difficult for me to make new friends at such a young age. I feel the difficulty of making friends was in some ways contributed to because of the tight bonds my siblings and had. Sibling relationships are less vulnerable to negative effects of conflict than friendships are perhaps the involuntary nature of sibling relationships heightens tolerance of negative affect (Hartup & Laurens, 1993; Katz et al. 1992) Having the closeness somewhat deterred us from seeking friendships outside of our comfort zone.
