Many people, including those who work for those major snack companies such as Nabisco and Hostess, state that eating junk food is fine, just as long as one exercises daily to burn off the calories. However, they don’t say that indulging in the snack may have consequences later in life such as diabetes, heart disease, stroke, sleep apnea, and asthma. Therefore, the focus should be more on the diet of the child rather than exercising.
Compared to my previous one day food intake of 5600 calories this three day diet is noticeably better. My diet included protein which came from the meats I ate, turkey and beef. The carbohydrates came from the bread in my sandwiches, the pasta in the lasagna, and the oatmeal for breakfast. The lipids, or fats that I consumed were included in all the meats and breads that I consumed. My intake of all the nutrients was within the limits of the average comparison except I was a little low on my proteins by 5 grams and carbohydrates were low by over 100 grams.

It is really simple to blame the food industry on why so many more people are obese today, but what you eat is your decision and healthy food is available to everyone who is interested in eating healthy. Sometimes people have a hard time fitting a workout into their busy schedule. You can procrastinate a simple workout all you want, but it doesn’t take a lot to take the stairs instead of the elevator, take a fifteen minute walk every night, or to play an active game with your family. Instead of video games, encourage your children to play outside when it is warm and get them to have an active lifestyle.

Weight watchers began on March 15th, 1963 and continued to grow til today's time. Taken from Heyes, “Weight Watchers, for example, claims to promote self- knowledge, cultivate new capacities and pleasures, foster self care in face of gendered exploitation, and encourage wisdom and flexibility.” Unlike many other weight watching programs, Weight Watchers primarily focuses on the other side of dieting not the physical part. Weight Watchers program is designed to target their audience through advertising and eating healthier.
Trevor McNabb 11/19/12 8-3 Science From doing the nutrition project, I learned many things. I learned how many calories I should be consuming each day and what most of those calories should be. I also learned how much of what food group I should be consuming and what those foods were. I found out how much physical activity I should be getting each day and what activity levels there are. I think that it is important to take a look and keep track of what you eat because it could help you lead a more healthy diet.
The main reason it is here is because they want us to buy, buy, buy and for them to sell, sell, sell 8) A balanced diet is very important, without one you might not get all the nutrients you need and there for have a shorter life span. An example of an unhealthy diet is, mountain dew, cookies, cake, candy, milk, frosted flakes. While the milk is good for you, there really is only the dairy section of the food pyramid in there. A good balanced diet is steak, beans, broccoli, milk, bread, pasta, tomato sauce, and even an apple. Here you have protein, carbs, fats, dairy, vegetables, and fruits, now just include some water and you have the perfect meal.
In our ever changing society, there is one thing that seems to remain the same; the quest for the perfect thin body. Although today there are numerous ways for one to lose weight, some are quick & easy, and some take time & hard work. Sure, most would prefer the quick & easy ways, but the question still remains: Is the quick ways really the best ways for the end results? While comparing two of the more popular fad diets, (not to mention controversial), I will also be including some of my own knowledge from my personal experience with one of these diets. Although the HCG and the Cabbage Soup diets take different approaches to weight reduction, each employ extreme measures for dangerously rapid weight loss.
