This information, as well as the medication is included in the care plan. Then, by direct communication with the service user, using his/her chosen form of communication, the carer establishes what he/she wishes to have.

Step-by-step instruction provides the client with a way to achieve his/her ultimate goal. This procedure establishes links between the behavior (stimulus) and the outcome (response). As a result, it will encourage self-help skills through observing each step multiple times. With the successful completion of each step, the instructor should provide positive verbal praise.
Health and Safety should be introduced at the beginning of the session to learners. This discussion should include, Signing In, Fire Exits, First Aid, Welfare Facilities and a time to answer any questions the learners may have. The tutor should establish ground rules for the session It’s important that we know from the beginning what is fair to expect from each other. The rules should include, Attendance, Punctuality, respecting others opinions, do not speak over others, usage of mobile phones, zero tolerance on bullying, ensuring equality and diversity is adhered too, this will all be explained to each learner during their induction but should also be refreshed during sessions. Being well organised will also mean that the learners are constantly on task and not left without a meaningful activity to occupy them ensure any negative behaviour is nipped in the bud.

Assessment 1 Explain what your actual or perceived role, responsibility and boundaries are as a teacher in terms of the teaching cycle As I prepare myself to deliver Food Safety lessons within the learning sector I feel it is my responsibility to ensure that I am qualified in all areas I am planning to teach in. I have already achieved my supervising food safety certificate and my NVQ level 3 in Food preparation & Production. My qualification paired with the PTLLS qualification and my catering experience cover all bases to teach. My first step would be to gather information about my learner base. I would do this by carrying out initial assessments, in the form of a learner questionnaire.
PTTLS: Explain ways to embed elements of Functional Skills in your specialist area The first important consideration for me will be to ensure that my own Functional Skills are good and that I am fully up to date with advances in IT. Literacy Acupuncture students are working at degree level and will have to read, research and submit referenced theses. Their work will be checked for fluency, spelling, grammar, punctuation and syntax. Speaking, listening and responding are equally important literacy skills. They are also essential for acupuncturists so the course is filled with exercises designed to develop them.
Unit 145 promote professional development 145. 1,1,2 explain the importance of continually improving knowledge and practice and what barriers could occur during this time ? There are many positives to continually improving knowledge and practice within the setting to help provide for the best possible care and development for the children. It enables the practitioners to stay fully up to date with all standards and legislations and any changes that are made. Parents using the setting entrust the practitioners with the care , safety and development of their children and improving knowledge enables the staff to be able to explain different procedures used throughout the setting, such as the use of the EYFS framework, planning ect.
This includes my ability to use time management in areas such as school work, my career and parenting. Going back to school to achieve my BSN is a personal goal made achievable through time management. Time management allows me to stay organized and develop a routine that allows me to complete all tasks in a timely fashion. According to Keys to Effective Learning (2011), every assignment and activity due go into my planner. Using a daily planner and prioritizing my responsibilities has helped me have the time to transition back to a student.
