In order to ensure that I acted as a good role model for employees I supervise I would endeavour to inspire the people in the organisation to act ethically and with integrity. I would demonstrate great qualities of leadership in order to give my employees good examples of what should be done and how it should be done. A sense of humor appears irrelevant but sometimes a little joke with the team can go a long way. What is your personal philosophy of leadership? The leader must be part of the team he or she is leading. Leaders have to listen to the team’s opinions and ideas and analyze the situation prior to make any decision because the leader’s decisions affect the entire team as well as each of the team members. The leader must always think about the most good for the most people while still working toward a common goal.
They must take responsibility before accepting to take on the task as well as after it has been accomplished. This includes not only being responsible for the success of their team, but also the failure. A leader needs to know that mistakes happen, and that they need to just accept the fact that sometimes things go wrong. The qualities of a good leader do not include blaming others for a failed job or making excuses. Instead, a good leader is to ensure that his or her team learns from the mistakes that they have made to avoid future failures.
This was developed to explain how the behavior of a leader influences the satisfaction and performance of subordinates (Robbins & Judges, 2011, p. 228). This is a very interesting theory because I do feel that there is a strong relation to how leaders treat subordinates and how satisfied they are. If an employee is treated in a negative manner by his or her leader this can cause that employee to feel very unsatisfied. If a leader treats the employee positively then the employee may be satisfied. It is important to seek the highest level of satisfaction for employees so that their work is not affected and the work atmosphere remains
That would be my first best practice. When employees know the procedures and policies they are required to abide by, and the procedures for how discipline is handle it will make situations easier to handle since all this was informed of ahead of time. It will also provide employees with an understanding that if they do something wrong so and so will happen, before hand which can deter employees from doing that certain act in the first place. Not every company has a set polices or procedure for how discipline is handled therefore this can sometimes create panic for some employees who may fear they loss of their job, simple guide lines by a supervisor can be given as to what may happen to employees when certain actions are taken or not taken. Supervisors should always be aware and encourage employees to discuss any issue with them.

P1 Authoritarian- This style is used when leaders want their employees to do something, they tell them how they want it done and how they want it accomplished, without getting advice of their followers. This style is more of a bossing around and unprofessional style. Democratic-This style is used when leaders want to include one or more employees in the decision making it is not a sign of weakness, it is so that the employees will be more confident with their own ideas and decision making. Decision making with your employees will let them gain respect for the leader and become more determined.
This is not an effective way to get the best result from a team, but it has some advantages in situations where there is pressure to get the task done, like in the armed forces. This leadership style may use threats or intimidation to make sure that subordinates do what the leader requires. This could bring down subordinates by ignoring their knowledge and input. The leader monitors the work and each individual's performance; which is good to make sure that everyone is working. People are motivated by being rewarded; this brings encouragement helping the person who has done well do a better job and help them achieve more in the job.
This aspect is not just characteristic of the criminal justice system, but in every leadership position. A good leader must be able to listen to the employees they supervise as well as lead those employees. According to David McCallum, “To be a good leader a person must be a good follower also.
