How Did Europeans Influence American Colonization

European colonization has led to the discoveries to North and South America led to a frenzy of expeditions from most western and southern European nations, to claim land in the Americas. These expeditions to these new lands, led to colonization of these virgin lands. The only thing standing in the way of the Europeans new found land was the native people who populated it. While some of the natives were generous to the Europeans some of them found them threatening and were hostile towards them. Over time these natives and Europeans developed good and bad relationships. The mouth of the Mississippi river was not drawn correctly on a map, until 1700. The crew that he brought along with him kept alive the encouraging ideas of discovery, and conquest, just like Aguirre did with his crew. La Salle’s crew had thinning out by sickness, and desertion to the Indians, just like Aguirre’s crew had been experiencing towards the end of the journey. La Salle’s crew eventually ran out of patience of sailing around in circles, and murdered La Salle. Both men had high intentions of becoming wealthy conquerors, like most European explorers. Unfortunately poor decisions were made when they counted and their eventual downfall was death; while the viewer does not see Aguirre die in the movie, it is intended that he will die shortly with a never ending river swallowing all of the Europeans who wanted to conquer it. While Aguirre seem to be more insane, than La Salle, we do not know what exactly were his intentions, and what happened on his ship before the mutiny; we do know however both had dream of being great European colonizer, whose names would be remembered forever by their mother country, and the area they were trying to
