The Importance of Being on Time Being on time is important because it shows a great level of maturity, respect for one’s leadership, and the slightest amount of tardiness can mean the difference between life and death of a fellow soldier. Being late is never acceptable under any circumstances especially when it comes to ones duties and responsibilities. I for one have learned my lesson when it comes to being on time and will use all my recourses and abilities to never let it happen again. Being on time is my duty as an American Soldier. As an American Soldier I should be on time to anything my superiors assign me to, whether it is zero two-hundred, or thirteen-hundred.
The military is all about good order and disipline. And this is just one of the many things that is set in place so as to check that good order and disipline is in place. No matter it you are the lowest ranking person or the President of the Unitied States. Everyone has to abide by this standard, no exceptions. The importance of accountability, is being on time and in the right place and the right uniform .
Well trained soldiers will likely succeed and survive on the battlefield. Well trained soldiers properly do the tasks their NCOs give them. If you were to understand that no matter how unfair or upsetting an order or task might be, it is never acceptable to disobey a direct order, or any order or task. NCOs have only the units mission as a motivator to give such orders. I will now give two examples of direct orders from
Obedience to orders also shows respect to the individual that gave you the order. In my opinion there is no limit to the consequences that can happen when a Marine does not follow the instructions given to him/her. Failure to obey an order or regulation can result an infraction to article 92 in the UCMJ, and can be punished severely. Article 92 is to me one of the most important article because it lays down ground law. Whatever the order that is given it should be executed with the best of your ability, because it helps strenthen the unit , where the work is spread out and everyone works together so the job gets done quickly.
Respect should be automatic towards colleagues if they are receiving it. For example, in the army, if you are well disciplined, professional and have respect for authority and others, it will be reciprocated and this itself can be a reward. When recruits misbehave, ignore rules and overlook
Especially in the military world knowing where your gear is at is very essential to mission accomplishment. That’s why in the military we do so many sl-3 and gear inventories. Now in my MOS accountability of your gear is very important. Because if you are missing like a high power amplifier, or a modem, you cannot complete the mission. If you cannot complete the mission then communications cannot go up and support all the troops out there on the front lines.
SEC failed at this due to the fact that their product will not operate above 130 degrees F, and that the requirements would not be able to be met without different materials (The Orion Shield Project, 2003). Due to this issue alone, it caused problems with the project, delaying the timeline for completion, increased the amount of resources used and not committing to the stakeholders. Not only did they fail to meet the temperature standard, they also failed to meet the life span expectation. Mr. Allison is responsible for overcoming these technical objectives as project manager of The Orion Shield Project. Ethical Issue: Before even beginning the project, Mr. Allison couldn’t keep his commitment in regards to meeting the temperature requirement.
My mentor is the tutor Paula and my manager is Sam Nolan. 1.3 Describe ways to ensure that personal attitudes or beliefs do not obstruct the quality of work. I feel being aware of how your beliefs and personal attitudes can obstruct your quality of work is a good first step, identifying and understanding your own views. By having an awareness of this you can notice when you may not come across as friendly with someone who has different views and by noticing you can adapt your behaviour. For example, I have a particularly strong anti-war ethic and some clients have been in the army and are very proud of that.
The orders issued in garrison are just as important as the ones being issued in a combat zone. It is important that the order be understood and done when told to, to avoid further problems. I realize that disrespect does not alway fall under the guise of orders, however as understood by the UCMJ, disrespect and disregarding an order are one in the same so the comparison and effectively, the issue fall under the same
Soldiers are joining the military more and more to have a secure job with benefits for themselves and their family members. We also need to find a better way to ensure the training the Soldiers are getting is retainable and either provides or enhances expertise in their field. The United States Army is currently not a “Profession of Arms” but with time and General Dempsey’s vision you never
