Leadership Style HCS/475 May 12, 2015 Dr. Bull Leadership Style Leadership is defined as the action of leading a group of people or an organization. Leadership has nothing to do with seniority of ones position in the hierarchy of a company; meaning that leadership does not happen when a person reaches a pay grade. Leadership in healthcare may mean making a life or death decision regarding patient care. Leadership in the healthcare is required to navigate and solve problem of cost, quality and access to care across the continuum of care. Knowing the difference between leadership and management makes all the difference. Steve Jobs was a computer designer, executive and innovator and a role model in his business and personal lives. Jobs emphasized on the importance of teamwork to his employees. Steve knew that the right people can be a greatest asset. He believe in his motto “Great things in business are never done by one person, they are done by a team of people. Steve Jobs was a successful leader in my opinion due to he and his high school friend started Apple Computers in Jobs parents’ garage.
