The test that examines more in depth of leadership styles produced a somewhat predicted outcome. I know that my style and personality are strongly linked to achieving a task to completion. There are few times where I put people’s concerns or worries ahead of the task, generally when necessary but defaulting to task at hand as priority. I don’t believe that I’m inconsiderate of people as my style is to be balance the work loads and give people an opportunity to achieve their directives. This allows me to focus more on the issue at hand and worry less about people’s opinions.
Decision making with your employees will let them gain respect for the leader and become more determined. This style will bring strength between you and your employees. Laissez-Faire-This style is used when the leader is lazy or distracted, it’s more of a you do what you want style. This style can be used when the team is highly capable and motivated, it’s when the team doesn’t need close monitoring or supervision. This style can cause failure when the leader expects the group to make the decision between themselves when they are un sure about what they need to achieve and how they need to accomplish the task.
For this reason, they are not likely to be found in fields which require a lot of conceptual analysis or theory. They value practical application. Traditional methods of higher education, which require a lot of theorizing and abstraction, are likely to be a chore for the ISFJ. The ISFJ learns a task best by being shown its practical application. Once the task is learned, and its practical importance is understood, the ISFJ will faithfully and tirelessly carry through the task to completion.
S2 – Selling / Coaching – The leader still defines roles and tasks, but seeks ideas and suggestions from the worker. Decisions remain the leaders but communication is much more two-way. This style is used in situations where a worker has some competence but lacks commitment. The worker may need direction and supervision because they are still relatively inexperienced. They also need support and praise to build their self-esteem and involvement in decision-making to restore their commitment.
Although I don’t believe this is her strong side, she develops some emotional and social intelligence. Not at the level she should, in my opinion. To be in presence of leadership, a leader must be able to transform traits and skills into behaviors. She is very good planning assignments and arranging schedules. Grace has a lot of way to walk in order to become in a great leader.
In the public services, these types of leaderships will be used within different circumstances, authoritarian is best in urgent situations but laissez-faire is better for those who are experts and know exactly what they are doing and don't depend on a leader, they are similar because they both focus on the task in hand but one is directed every step by a demanding leader, sometimes, authoritarian could be bad style to use as it could make the other team members feel under pressure and lack motivation but leading in a laissez-faire manner will make the members feel more important because they have freedom to work the way they feel best. If there was to be a car accident, authoritarian would be a better approach because whether it was ambulance, police or fire, they will need to get the victims to hospital and road cleared as quickly as possible but it'd take longer if the team didn't know what their roles were and what they were
The program gives you challenges and opportunities to become a better citizen. The instructors are not like teachers, they put in an effort for you to actually try and build up. You do leadership tasks; you help younger teens, participate in things that other teens don't get to participate in. The class isn't boring, you’re always learning about new things, we do weekly current events, and uniform wear. Wearing uniform teaches us responsibility; we have to make sure that our uniform is in order, and has everything on correctly.
Great leaders are mindful of their strengths and leverage these to be persuasive and inspire others. These leaders are also aware of their weaknesses and likely make efforts to increase their skills and abilities where they are weakest. Here are a few key points about each trait: Ability to Delegate You aren’t the only one with great ideas or the right skills to do the work. Trusting others to accomplish the vision and delegating the right tasks, to the right people, demonstrates your confidence in their abilities and skills. Ability to Inspire Your energy, passion, and commitment to achieving a goal are often not enough.
