(Click)*2 This is my contents page…(Click) *3 First, allow me to define Gun Control. Gun control refers to the worldwide effort to regulate the sale of guns or reliance on the community. (Click) Unlike what most think, gun control does not refer to the banning of guns. (Click) Civilians are allowed to possess guns but there are some forms of laws passed to restrict gun sale. In the world, there are Gun control Laws put in place one way or another. However, there are many intensive debates over the effectiveness of passing gun control laws or, to what extent should it be enforced. (Click) America is the case study that I will investigate in this presentation. (Click) Now, let me give you some background information on the Gun Culture in America. Thus, we cannot put the blame on the availability of guns as they could use other sadistics methods such as the use of knives or acids anyway. (Click)*2 (Click) Another argument that Pro gun control advocates put across is that there will be negative societal effects such as the increase of suicides or family violence. (Click)Of course, family violence may come about through accidental shootings or that minors, people under the age of 18 are in contact with guns and do not know the appropriate usage of it. Furthermore, guns will become a tool of terror, one that others will use to gain something. (Click)Thus, they believe that crime rate will rise anyway because even law abiding citizens will make use of the tool.
