All Chris cared about was making people laugh that was his life’s motive. He fed off of other people’s happiness even if he was miserable. Some say he may have had a form of a Somatoform Disorder or Behavioral Disorder. Chris was constantly sent down to the office for being extremely disruptive and disrespectful in class just to entertain his peers. Chris’s father never truly yelled at him for what he did just because of how cute he was as a child, Chris was usually allowed to do whatever he wanted this gave him this sense of empowerment but at the same time caused him to grow this self-independence.
Flick often sit and think about high school and how good of a player he was but the reader never tells you how good he was in school or how his grades were. Throughout the poem the reader tell us how flick uses his surrounding to reminisce and think about his high school days when he use to play basketball and be important and be popular. He not so proud of what he has become and now he results to what he has to
All of these things made for an exciting and attention grabbing presentation. Randy Pausch was very humorous when giving his lecture. There was never a dull moment and it kept the audience interested and entertained. He took a serious situation and gave examples to bring light to it. When presenting, he gave both the pros and cons to the subject at hand.
He’s not like the other guys, he won’t hurt me like they did, he wouldn’t put me here... Would he? No, I know he wouldn’t, he cares, he likes me. I take care of him, and he takes care of me. I get so lonely in here. Living with people who don’t exactly care about you doesn’t offer much comfort.
This is Gilbert. Towards the end of the film Gilbert doesn’t allow Arnies disability hold him back. in the beginning Gilbert never liked brining his brother around because he always caused trouble and bothered Gilbert. Eventually Gilbert started to hate and arnie and ended up hitting him. this is was big eye opener for Gilbert because he realized he shouldn’t be letting arnie hold him back from being happy in his life.
George won’t let Lennie “go down alone” because he cares about his friend so much and knows he doesn’t deserve that. George also is protective over Lennie because he “used to play jokes” on Lennie all the time. He knows that even though it is wrong, doesn’t mean someone else won’t do it. George thinks very highly of him and Lennies relationship and won’t let anyone mess with
He does not care what society thinks of him and in some situations he does not even care about the laws and rules of life. People around me are to scare to over do it and care too much about the consequences. But many friends of mine have the idea of not caring and doing whatever they please but having limits to it. I believe that when we are young we enjoy life much more because we like adventures and trying new things just like Alexander. 10.
Hal and his friends go out for drinks and get laid, showing basic forms of sanity among most people. Thus, unlike Catherine whose gift is wrapped in dread, Hal enjoys his commonness as a pure sanction. He also has a knack for noticing the good attributes in other people. He basically worshipped Robert as mathematician and he stands in awe of Catherine’s untutored genius. If Catherine is struggling with the problem of being or not being her father, then Hal is competent, firmly grounded, fully aware of the rareness he
“The first man was small and quick, dark of face, with restless eyes and sharp, strong features” (Steinbeck 2). George is tiny and much more intelligent than Lennie. Also, Lennie is Caucasian, and George is African American. George can be defined by a few distinct characteristics. Even though Lennie really bothers George at some points, he is a wonderfully loving and devoted friend and would never actually leave Lennie.
Every serious story led to another joke that kept begging me to keep reading. He was very straight forward with the things he said and thought, and made comparing his stories to everyday life scenarios a lot easier and helped me to learn to laugh. I really enjoyed my time reading Me Talk Pretty One Day. I’ve never laughed so much and haven’t wanted to put a book down. This is definitely a book that I would recommend.
