Classical School Theory: Guiding to Progress Organizational Development for Healthcare Abstract There have been many changes in how to manage a company and lead it to success since the industrial revolution. Many people are interested in learning how to properly develop their organization and even help their employees to grow professionally. This paper exposes the theory of classical school, the different managements, founders, what we can learn from the managements, and examples of the implementation. Classical School Theory: Guiding to Progress Classical School Theory is a formal operation of the organization’s structure developed at the end of the 18th through the middle of the 19th century. Dunn (2010) described the classical school theory as focused in the correct way to do a job and how leaders must guide their workers. Organizations must have administrative personnel with skills and abilities in the area where they work to educate employees on how to do the job. If the leaders train employees on how to do the work properly, they will do the job quickly and will reduce chances of errors. Classical school theory explains administrative, scientific and bureaucratic managements and the way that managements guide employees to increase their performance and productivity of the organization leading to success. Administrative Management Administrative management indicates the correct form that areas and job tasks must be organized and how leaders should lead an organization (Dunn, 2010). In order to function adequately, organizations must have a working order. If functions and tasks have a sequence, they will be executed more smoothly because employees will know what they should do before and after each step.
