City &Guilds Preparing To Teach In The Lifelong Learning Sector (PTTLS) Level 4 Theory Task B In this assignment I will discuss the way I promote inclusion and issues of equality and diversity with my learners when delivering training. This will include the methods I use and the resources I have available; it will also include how I make a referral for a learner who requires extra support: this may be a learner struggling with a learning difficulty like dyslexia, someone having problems with basic learning skills like poor literacy, or a learner with a physical disability. I will include ways I incorporate ground rules establishing acceptable behaviour and respect for one another. At the end I will evaluate by explaining how I have incorporated different elements of functional skills during my training to help delegates learn in at least four different ways, this will help to keep attention levels high and delegates motivated to achieve a suitable learning outcome for all learners. Prior to the training I will have been informed of any delegate who may require additional support. I may be asked by a manager to address a specific delegate's needs; this could be to a reported incident perhaps noted on a RIDDOR (1995) required by Health and Safety Executive (1974) that needs a follow up assessment. This may require me to monitor and if necessary reaffirm correct instruction and direction, for example it may be the carer had been witnessed handling a client in a certain way that is considered inappropriate. I can address the situation by asking the learners as a group some open questions about controversial handling and how it can be interpreted by others and the impact it has on the client. This would be a way of reaffirming what is acceptable without identifying the person in question. I can then during practical demonstration and role play check the delegate
