Animal Cruelty Animal cruelty is the infliction of suffering or harm on animals, for purposes other than self-defense. It can be harm for specific gain, or even just to rid you of responsibility. There are many kinds of animal cruelty. Animal cruelty exists as neglect and abandonment, slaughter house torture, puppy mills, fighting dens, animal testing, fur trapping, and entertainment. Animal cruelty comes in many forms and has many grave consequences.
This is a very excruciate form of animal abuse, and is one of the worst known to man. Stopping animal abuse such as puppy mills will help a lot of animals in need and here are some reasons how: Refusing to buy dogs that are shipped from puppy mills. Most of those dogs that had been shipped from puppy mills would be ill with a disease. A lot of the dogs that are trapped together in a small area carry diseases and pass it on to other dogs. With no taking car of these poor dogs have no choice to have what’s coming, and to help them you would have to see the dog to get them.
Page 1 of 2 Solution to Puppy Mills…… It would be very difficult to outlaw puppy mills. It would very expensive to enforce as well. It would take people willing to donate their time and money to the cause. It would either end up with more small, back yard breeders or the animals constantly being moved like “Black Market” to avoid the location being located and/or owners fined. It may end up hurting the responsible breeders out there and not affecting the desperate ones as the reputable ones don't profit much at all.
I understand medication being tested on animals but the cosmetic industry should not test on animals because its animal cruelty, the testing is not accurate, and there are other ways to test products. First reason they should not test on animals is because it’s animal cruelty. In America animal abuse is illegal. Testing on animals is abuse! Everyday millions of animals are locked in small cages giving them only enough room to turn around, and they have makeup put on them, and thousands die from it everyday.
In these tests, the animals have chemicals forced down their throats, into their eyes and onto their shaved skin in order to document their reaction to ensure the safe use for humans” (Zuazua 2017). Along with the animals, it puts a damper on humans, because people hate seeing such a thing happen to innocent animals. Most family households include some sort of animal, whether it is a dog, cat, fish, bird, etc. Also, almost everyone that has a pet thinks about animal cruelty in a bad way, because they would hate to see their babies in danger. If a person owns a pet, then they probably (and should) enjoy being around animals, which is why pet owners are good people to inform, since they will take the most action right away.
III. Problems and improvements to felony laws: A. The problem with felony animal cruelty laws is this you have to be able to show intent. Apparently, in most cases judges and lawyers can't show intent. Well, when you have a battered animal and you can't show intent, there is something wrong with the justice system.
Pets, animal performers, animals in zoos, even the animals that are being raised for slaughter are mistreated up until death. James Rachels author of “Vegetarianism and ‘The Other Weight Problem’” provides us with a look at why eating meat is morally wrong. Rachels offers many arguments as to why we should not eat meat, but none stronger than the mistreatment of the animals. Even though humans know animals are raised for slaughter we overlook it, but “readily identified with a tortured dog or horse and respond with great sensitivity”
We all see things from our own point of view regarding our concerns and interests. Many of these people, in fact, love animals. According to the APSCA animal cruelty is causing pain and wounds and sometimes even death upon an animal for no reason. Many animals are beaten and punished because people enjoy doing it as a sport or because they are tempered with someone else. Most of the time animals that are abused cannot be adopted into better homes because they become so aggressive
The Morality of Killing Animals: An Investigation in Utilitarian Ethics. Research Question The killing of non-human animals remains an unsolved problem in utilitarian ethics and has generated heated debate amongst ethicists in recent times. My aim is to illuminate this issue, specifically the morality of killing animals when it is done painlessly. In doing so I intend to tackle several questions: What, if anything, makes killing wrong? Does the wrongness of killing animals (human and non-human) depend on them possessing specific attributes?
The quality of the experiments was necessitous. In this study, Roberts (2007) states that, The anatomic, metabolic, and cellular differences between animals and people make animals poor models for human beings. Drugs that pass in animal test are not successful in human clinical tests. Animals as their matter are not germane to human health. Several can cause human diseases that can damage us instead of helping us.
