Evaluate Quinn McMahon’s current strategy regarding senior citizens. Does this strategy improve this McDonald’s image? What should she do about the senior citizen market-That is, should she encourage, ignore, or discourage her seniors? What should she do about the bingo idea? Explain. As Quinn Mcmahon is the manager at the McDonald’s restaurant in a city with many “seniors” citizen. Many of these older customers use McDonald as a meeting place after they were attracted by breakfast special plus the refill coffee. The size of the senior citizen group tends to grow which might deter some younger customers and also make other patrons confuse with the McDonald’s image. In my opinion, Quinn’s current strategy should improve in some points. Even these older customers come in and leave before the rush hours and also spend the money similar to the average’s customer purchase, Quinn should improve positive cue to help marketing mix by identify image that associate with “fast food” restaurant to encourage the younger customer and other patrons. These customers are expected to eat and run so do not misunderstanding this concept. To resolve this problem Quinn may offer the value meal which is affordable for younger customer or offer new happy meal for children. Moreover, Quinn should limit the time to serve the refill coffee for preventing senior customer use the facilities for a much longer time until the noon crowd come in. The strength point of Quinn’s strategy is relationship between customer and employee as social influence is affect consumer behavior then friendliness can make customer feel like a familiar place to come back again. Since these older customer is continue to grow, I don’t think Quinn should discourage her seniors but she should survey this target group and offer their need by understanding their lifestyle activities and
