Chapter 1: Why is shared information so important in a learning organization in comparison to an efficient performance organization? Discuss how an organization’s approach to sharing information may be related to other elements of organization design such as: structure, tasks, strategy, and culture. When compiling strategy to create a more sufficient, efficient or effective organization, two types of approaches come to mind. A learning organization in a performance organization. My type of company would be a six Sigma approach whereas the company develop strategies both long-term and short-term to focus their efforts in order to make a more effective and efficient operation. A learning organization is the process of using a strategy that company to build training to improve and create a more effective operation. This approach requires organization, consistency, adversity and integrity from management down. This this must remain persistent in developing a total strategic approach. Having a strategic approach within a learning organization is a very communicated direction. Every employee seems to have brought in to this concept and fully understands that only the goals but the mission and division of the company. With this knowledge they are more aware and tend to enjoy their lives, their self value and treat their customers The way the company wishes. They work harder and have a better work ethic when they have information and security in their job. It is important to note that this approach is created by upper management and is persistent for the flow or chain of command. A performance organization focuses on three areas a performance. The financial, product and shareholders return.
