I finally had self- confidence and the drive to make the most of my career as I neared completion of Banker’s College. Finally completing bankers college only started a drive for personal interest in a full fledged college degree and a chance at a new dream that I one day would like to complete, my own day care. I returned to an online college in a degree program for Early Childhood so I could prove to my family that I could graduate with honors and receive a diploma and I did with an Associate’s Degree the proudest moment of my life. I now have the chance to do many things with my college degree as well as returning to college and adding to it to
Joining drill team my freshman year was an experience that helped call to mind memories of the past. Freshman year was the first time ever in my life I believed the excitement and pride of accomplishing something because little did I know what I was doing when I was younger. After that I thought I could put myself out there and accomplish more. It was the start of something different and little did I know it would shape my high school years around it. Drill team gave me the knowledge that grades in high school do play an important role in life and I knew that if I put enough heart into it I would succeed.
Some may not be as big as others but are no less valuable. Goals can lead you down several paths some may not be the right one at the time but you can still learn valuable lessons. Setting goals is very much of my daily life. With being a busy mother, working woman, devoted wife, and college student goals are a part of everything that I do. Without the goal of going to college I would not be here today.
Why I am in college, and my last English experiences There are many of reasons why I’m in college, and my last English experience is not what I expected it to be. Obviously everyone goes to college to get some type of degree. I’m planning on getting a bachelor’s degree in radiology and maybe extend the career on the way through the years. I’m the type of person that enjoys learning about the human body and how it works. I want to be able to have a good career and succeed in life.

Lesley Rodriguez 5-16-14 AVID Per.0 Reflection My sophomore school year was something very different for me than my freshmen year. I met many new people and made new friends, and learned many new things. Such as things that could help me in my daily life to things that can help me out greatly in my future to succeed. One of the things I learned throughout this semester is that there are no short cuts in life and you’ll only go far as you push yourself, yes, it will be difficult and time consuming to achieve my goals but in the end it will all be worth it. I have to work hard every single day to maintain my path to success.
It is hard to focus and my study methods are vastly differed from those of an average college student. I am an aspiring student but struggles with focusing in on main projects as I want to ramble in a different direction. In order to get past this I must get in to a routine that requires a type of consistency in my studies. In the same way, Malcolm X had to learn to enhance his education he had to study consistently all day and every free moment in his day. I have to do the same in order to become a successful student.
To be specific, I wish to make no less than a “B” in all of my classes, with an overall G.P.A. of a 3.3 or higher. The reason for these high grades and expectations is that after the successful completion of my second semester, my plans are to further my education at Clemson University in the fall of 2012. The year is still young but I have high hopes as I embark on a new phase of my academic career. As one may observe from the paragraphs above, my expectations of what I hope to accomplish in the upcoming semester and school year are
I always tell my kids that a college education is a key to success in life. I set myself as an example, after being out of school for so many years and then going back to college, takes a lot of motivation, dedication, and commitment. I want to better myself, my family, and to be able to say I accomplished my goal. Goals and accomplishments are two big priorities, which I value them exceedingly having the desire to reach them in life. In order to accomplish goals, a plan must be laid out.
College right after highs school is not for everyone. I do believe that all people can benefit from a college degree when the time is right for them. Returning to college later in life can be the result of real life career experience and the realization of what it really takes to get ahead in life. Motivation, learning style, and career goals can have a great impact on your success or failure as an adult student. I tried college right after high school but dropped out because I felt like I was wasting time and money.
