Physical health: Health is the condition of a living organism at a given time. It is the soundness of the body, freedom from the disease of optimal well-being. It is when the body is functioning as it was designed to function. People want to be healthy but environmental forces can attack the body or the person may have genetic malfunctions.

Living day to day not knowing what may be ahead is something we all experience, but living day to day knowing you have done all you could to improve your personal health to the best of your ability, can lead you to a more active, productive and gratifying lifestyle. Having a solid social support network, managing your weight and eating habits, exercising regularly, using the mind-body connection for hardiness and reducing your stressors are areas that can help you improve controlling aspects of your overall health and wellness. As most of us know, being physically fit is not an easy task. The older we grow the more our body breaks down.
As people get older they lose independence, they become less mobile and aren’t able to do everything for themselves any more. It is important to ensure that they keep as active as they can to ensure they keep their independence for longer. Carers can help this process by offering activities that are enjoyable, safe and have minimal risks. This is important because it helps people enjoy the things that they are able to do, rather than offering them something they will struggle to do with the possibility of injuring themselves. They will also enjoy things that can keep their brains active, such as crosswords, paintings and colouring, keeping their hand eye coordination strong.
I chose Weight Watchers because it’s doesnt sound or look strict at all just a “healthy style” of living. Besides, it’s the opposite you can still eat anything you want from the menu and still lose pounds of fat. ● What is the basic premise of this diet/eating plan? Weight Watchers contains a balance of vegetables, fruit, dairy, exercise activity and multivitamins. ● What were two positive aspects of the diet?
They are unlikely to think of themselves as ill when they have minor discomfort caused by colds or headaches, or when they feel tired or depressed. A HOLISTIC CONCEPT OF HEALTH A holistic concept of health is the belief that being healthy means being without any physical disorders or diseases and being emotionally comfortable. For example, a person who feels anxious or who has low self-esteem would, according to this concept, not be well. People with this view are likely to label themselves as ill when they experience a wide range of unpleasant feelings, not just physical discomfort or pain. They are likely to interpret minor discomforts, such as tiredness as symptoms of illness.
Staying physically healthy and having a good healthy mind, staying happy and keeping emotions level, and loving God and following Jesus is being healthy and well. I would say that I am not in fact fully healthy and well because the main dimensions that I fail to have is being fit and eating healthy and working out, not smoking and staying away from risks of many diseases. Social health is being social and communicating with others. My situation of communicating is average only because I seem to stay in good conversation with few people and close ones. Keeping a clear mind and knowing how to deal with worldly challenges is your intellectual health.
Physical health: Physical health is the ability to perform normal activities of daily living. Walking is a form of physical fitness that will create physical health. It can create weight loss that will improve your overall health. Social health: Social health is the ability to have satisfying relationships and interactions with others. It is important to communicate with your peers, and have meaningful conversations.
Learning how to be mature but still fun and young hearted is a must to stay healthy in EMS. Discipline, the ability to have complete self control over your actions and emotions not clouding your judgment, executing the task at hand. Many people lack discipline because its usually lacking within. Self-discipline is a trait that when properly used can make your life so much more enjoyable. You have control and the ability to push yourself and stay motivated.
With their busy working lives, people may not notice that they are living with thirst. Thinking they will manage by drinking water and coffee throughout the day, they ignore the positive effects of having a well-hydrated body. A water deficiency can cause significant health problems. Don’t say I never think to drink water! Drinking enough water should be a habit for everyone.
“However, few correctional institutions have therapeutic communities, owing to the lack of special facilities as well as staff shortages and a focus on custodial issues (Inciardi, 2010).” Inmates also notice and rely on the positive attitudes of their leaders. They feed on their positivity and are driven by the shared motivation to see them better themselves get better and lead healthier, fuller lives. It is important that the staff maintain a positive attitude. Because, “Participants in therapeutic communities often report greater motivation to change and higher satisfaction with treatment that people in other types of substance abuse treatment (Cutler, 2008).” The staff’s positivity also helps to drive participants to stay in treatment longer. It is a common notion that the longer someone stays in treatment, the more they learn and the better they do in the long run.
