I guess this was Miners way of expressing how other cultures look and think of Americans. Miner uses many different phrases and symbols to represent basic everyday items or actions. Such as when he uses the word “shrine” to represent a private rooms in a house, in this case the bathroom. He implies that Naciremas wake up every morning and uses the shrine room as a secret area to expose their true self’s and uses these “potions”
If you’re such a patriot that loves your “country” so much, why did you kill, rape, enslave, steal from and hurt the people of this country. It’s not just the people but it’s the land too. If you love this land from the mountains to the prairie to the ocean white with foam, why do you act as if pollution and global warming don’t exist? Politicians might say, “I am a politician because I love this country and I want to make it better.” But you can’t make this country better by becoming corrupted and giving in to personal gain. No one is going to think you’re a better candidate if you ignore the real topic and try to put down the other runners.
The traits I have chosen for my personal character are applicable to me because I have always looked upon the characteristics of a successful person and I believe my personal character possesses the traits. I am the oldest of my four siblings and it is necessary for me to be a role model and pave the path for each of them. My parents must depend on me to be responsible to look over them at times. I show my siblings my self-confidence so they can take that and overcome any challenges they might face and not to fear them. When they struggle on homework I’m there to navigate them through it until they are capable of doing it on their own.
I awoke to find the afghan scientists making repairs as they began to check that my senses were working correctly. Throughout the day I went through a series of checks, while I pondered what had happened. I had been turned from an English Ranger into a terrorist’s robot meant for destruction. It was as if I had been dragged into a parallel world, or a nightmare. One second serving the good, the next a slave to the bad.
I have had to work for what I want in life and understand the value of money and how much work it takes to earn it. I pride myself very much of my work ethic without it I would not be who I am today. Work is a very important part of my life and I know you have work for what you want. For example my brother has cerebral palsy and growing up with this has taught me a lot. This puts many different burdens on my family and we all have to work together to get through it.
Jenny Graves: The only thing that I would change really is doing more everyday with each child. I know there is only so much you can do, but I feel that there is always room for more. You can never learn enough in your life time. Cynthia Moore: What do you like most about your job? Jenny Graves: I love being able to help the younger generations learn and to guide them to be the very best they can be in life.
One goal I set is just to do the best job I can to take care of my kids no matter how hard it is for me. A second goal of mine was to just show up to school and do the work. I am smart and I figure if I just show up then the hard part is over. This is my second time I am going to school so this time around I want to be focus, show up, and do the work. I pick these main two goals because my kids are my life so they come first.
America has won nearly every war that we’ve been involved it. Even when we were a nation divided amongst ourselves in the Civil War, the stronger side still prevailed. Americans hate to lose, which is why we are still the dominating country, Tony Blair stated this in the second paragraph of his article. To contradict this statement, I was presented with an article negatively facing America, it said, “China and Japan are rapidly advancing and will soon be so far ahead of the U.S. that we will not be able to catch up”. These statements are both argumentative, but the fact is, you can’t beat America.
