He was “my hero” and one of my best friends. My father was a very humble and religious person. Through the years he guided me through the difference between right and wrong. My father always said, “Treat people the way you want to be treated.” He lived by example. I was always amazed by the way other people responded to him in public.
Joseph Kain PSYC-305-21736 January 11, 2015 Week 1 - Individual Assignment Question 1: There is no doubt that indeed Todd McFarlane is a great leader with some awesome leadership characteristic traits. I noticed that Todd McFarlane possesses the leadership traits of learning to be strong and not be rude. According to the passage, he never gave up on his dreams or displays any rude behavior even with all the rejection letters that he received from employers. Todd McFarlane learned to be kind but not weak. Kindness is a certain type of leadership trait and I saw in the reading that Todd McFarlane was kind and considerate enough to lay it on the line by donating proceeds from his collection displays to charity (Lou Gehrig Foundation).
Here are just a few analyses that we learned in class: Coach Boone was a great leader from the sense that he brought the team together and created such a strong bond between all the players, but he also failed in other aspects of leadership. He was more focused on his personal success rather than that of the teams. He could often be heard speaking of just himself rather than of the team as a unit. Coach Yoast was a very selfless leader to this team. He could have taken the opportunity to leave his team and coach a different team the next year, but he loyally stuck by his players that he had coached for years on end.
Though I was young I still remember what he was like. All that is left are the memories of his selfless acts. Though he is gone remember and use his example to guide. He helped everyone with no rejections, no matter what, status, color, or orientation They paid him what they could, a little money, a grateful handshake, or a carton of eggs He taught us to share what we have not just things, but love, and help He would not turn down someone in need, and treated them all the same The greatest thing about him was his patience, he never got mad at anyone He was the true healer and helper of Jinotega The streets and church were overflowing with all those that he touched. His city will miss him, my family will miss him, I will miss him.
There was quite a bit of respect for this one, very generous man. The jobs he gave students were incredible for them; he worked around their schedules and included all benefits and even Christmas bonuses. Not many kids in high school get an opportunity like that, and for some of them it was an absolute blessing. One thing about John Tu was everything he did was out of the goodness of his own heart, he didn't have to do anything he did, but he chose to. Maybe to others this isn't very heroic, but to this particular student, John Tu changed his life.
Becoming an Eagle Scout Is the twelve year process a lot to endure when one is young? Are we unsure of what that process really entails? Well I lived through this lengthy event and it has helped mold me into the man I am today. From Cub Scout to Boy Scout I had the help and support of my family, of my friends and of scout leaders. With the big support of my older brother who is also an Eagle Scout, he helped influenced myself becoming an Eagle Scout.
The only thing I really want to people to remember something positive about me. Randy connected with the audience through relatable everyday instances, visuals, and interesting stories of events and dates that he experienced. He drew us in, he displayed himself that he is just an ordinary family man and relating to his level is easy to follow. People remember him still today, because he showed us bravery. Being complete accepting for his life’s turn of events and turning it into something great
He really wants to go to the race alone so he spends the majority of the scene trying to convene her not to come. He repeatedly ask her to go alone and givers her several reasons why it will not be enjoyable if she goes. When that fails, he tries to use reverse phycology by saying he would rather not go if she insist to come with him. Eventually she gives in and he is free to go, but when he finds out that she is not staying at home but decided to go out with a friend, he becomes suspicious. He then drills her with a series of question because he thinks she maybe plotting revenge on him by secretly seeing another man.
I also tend to be on the servant side of leadership styles. I killed myself when I had two businesses helping them and at the beginning I went without paycheck for awhile. I would work the hardest so that the others could be happy but at the end I really got burned out. With time I have learned to have some balance and delegate more. I learned to delegate and organize the team more and more and still be there for them.
"This man offered great care to his family, paid the debts of his father, provided basic needs to his sister, and parents that they were unable to provide by themselves." (Diyanni, 2007, p. 613) The man did not complain of any of this apparent injustice. However, he gleefully embraced the
