Europeans are well known for their firm traditions and their unwillingness to shift from old to new world ideals and changes. The world has evolved and it will keep evolving for many years to come. Technology has improved immensely along with changes to health, populace, trade, education, employment and wars. Conflict has been a big issue risen among countries and their people. Although the world has progressed greatly, both socially and technologically, racism, hatred and prejudice still exist today, deeply embedded in old-fashioned traditions and values. How people live today has revolutionised with the influences of the Europeans creating new resources for the economy everyday. The Europeans were very dominating beings as they took over many countries such as Asia, Africa, India and the Middle East. They migrated to all new parts of the world and occupied big and small regions, new commerce and industries were advancing resulting in many different goods and services for the nations. This economic growth, helped to fuel the industrial revolution of the eighteenth century by providing large and expanding markets for European industries. The revolution created the need for new technology to meet the demands of the new and ever changing markets created by the European expansion. It also contributed the large amounts of capital necessary to finance the construction of factories and machines for the industrial revolution. On the other hand, modern Europe had created a whole new era of animosity, tension and nationalism. Certain events were more significant than others in terms of its impact on the history of Europe. The Treaty of Versailles was one of the most significant documents of its time, for it created a tension between two countries that elevated into a world war, and nationalism within a future world power.
