I am only going to study and do homework while sitting in silence or while listening to instrumental music. The section on how good do your grades have to be really helped me relax a little bit. I am somewhat of a perfectionist when it comes to my grades. I strive for that 4.0 GPA, and because of this I get stressed on occasions. This section has made me realize that a 3.4 or 3.5 would still put me in great shape for my future.
It is true for sure that a person doing one work at a time has better focus and can work more smoothly than a person who is working many things at a time. There will be a difference of time management and level of concentration also in between multitasking person and single tasking person. I have a similar example as discussed in the passage, I was having sociology exam on next day and our professor has given some important questions to prepare which were definite on the exam. I and my friend have done combined study at my house a night before the exam. My friend just focused on the professor’s important questions because of short time and I prepare for important questions also and also the new chapter was 10 percent of the exam grade.

There are many effects with long school hours on my kids such as little or no time for after school activity like sports. Long school hours causing my kids to deal with so much stress that it affected their educational performance. In addition to that, long school hours lead to long homework hours and less time for good night sleep. When I was in school, I started my day around six-thirty in the morning. Then I had a light breakfast with my siblings.
I was able to spend the rest of the day doing homework, hanging out with friends, etc. But on some days, I don’t feel like going to class because I stayed up late the night before. But I am a morning person and I usually get up a 5 pm to run in the morning so starting English class at 8 A.M wasn’t very difficult for me. Being in a class at 8 in the morning affected my performance. On some days where I don’t get enough sleep, I don’t pay attention to what the professor say and I don’t do as good as I should when I’m fully alert.

Unfortunately I am very insecure person and my room gives me the assurance that I can’t get elsewhere. My knitting room has merely the knitting and sewing machine sounds that provoke a sense of relaxation. Immediately, when I enter the room, and I sit on my old wood chair, the tension releases in my shoulders release the stress, and I feel confidence. The only noise in the room is the grinding noise of the sewing machine and the tapping of the knitting needles hitting each other when I make a scarf. Sometimes I finish a crochet baby blanket in a just couple of hours because I do not have distractions.
