Bournemouth is located on the south coast of England, people are attracted to Bournemouth from all over the UK for physical and human reasons. In Bournemouth the climate is far more prefered compared to other areas in the UK. This is because Bournemouth receives 32% less rain than the rest of the UK and there are higher sunshine hours as well as milder winters. This means that people, especially elderly and ageing populations, will be provided with nicer summers and winters. People are also attracted to Bournemouth due to its high environmental quality. Bournemouth has nice and attractive coastal environments that are near World Heritage coasts. This would attract people toward the area because it will be well conserved by the government. Bournemouths economic boom has lead to an increase in the number of job opportunities available in the service sector, such as banking, finance and tourism. This is obviously attractive to anybody who wants a job and doesn’t mind living/moving to a coastal town. Bournemouth is an attractive place to live, also, because of its accessibility. There are plenty of amenities, with a train station that connects directly to London which only take 2 hours, there is also a local airport which connects other European countries and cities to bournemouth. People are attracted to Bournemouth due to its accessibility because there isn’t too great an effort to visit the area whether you’re from London or another European country, such as germany. People may be attracted to Bournemouth due to its scenery, many people especially older people, like to retire and settle in coastal areas because they have certain aesthetic qualities that allow for great views and scenery.
