SPECIAL OCCASION SPEECH Hi. For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Bernadette. We’re gathered here today and witnessed the joyous union of Kae and Gio. I am the maid of honor and best friend of the bride. I want to start off by saying that every once in a while… two people meet, and you know it’s meant to be.
This is symbolising the support you gain from getting married. ‘Walks into the room’ is a metaphor, talking specifically about someone walking into your life and taking the weight from your shoulders. The third stanza presents both positive and negative feelings about marriage. ‘You feel the relief’ after taking down your arms is again symbolising the happiness and satisfaction of being married. It could also symbolise the relief people feel, once they realise that they are not going to be lonely again, after vowing to have a partner for the rest of their life.
Romney will have to capability to pull the country together into a better place because of his wholesome love for America. Together, their love will propose reasons to unite Americans as one. One thing that unites citizens and what holds America as a family is love. Love will always bring “our greatest joy when times are good.” Mitt Romney has made a commitment that no matter what he will keep and increase the love and unity between Americas. The love between the Romney’s unites them as one family.
These wonderful bonds that were made in nine hours, will last for a while and maybe forever. The Breakfast Club, then, shows love and acceptance through the qualities, and elements of the characters. It also shows that all their differences at the beginning of the movie soon became similarities. And through those similarities, they became united and bonded. The theme is shown and emphasized through all of the characters, and they show how through their parents, they accept each other and learned how to cope and love one
As corny as it sounds, when a person joins one of these amazing organizations, it comes with a life-long support system and an amazing group of people that you can truly call brothers or sisters. Each individual joined their particular sorority or fraternity because they saw a bit of themselves in each of the members, and that likeness and connection does not disappear. Everyone shares an unbreakable bond that is indescribable, and can literally be found across the world at any given moment. Whether it be through raising money, volunteering to clean up run-down homes for people in need, or simply bonding over a game night, I would never be who I am without my sorority sisters. They constantly help me to grow and become a better and stronger person.
I remembered that you are Native American--while I cannot boast that myself, my father's family has had a long and happy relationship with many Native American peoples over the years so my folks raised us to respect the traditions, perogatives, and rights of First Peoples. I think it is fantastic that you could participate in such an important event! How did it go?! Sure, it's always best to let me know ahead of time, that way we can plan things, but I'm more than happy to give you some extra time.
