I am a Warrior and a member of a team. I serve the people of the United States and live the Army Values. I will always place the mission first.” -excerpt from The Soldier’s Creed When looking at video games such as Call of Duty, Halo, and Assassins Creed, we begin to see a pattern of violent topics, including warfare violence, swearing, excessive uses of gore, and extensive torture scenes. To most, these topics seem to only hold morals of Violence, but upon further examination, these games also hold the morals of a Soldier. In Call of Duty: Black Opps II, You begin your journey as a man named Frank who is a veteran. Through his flashbacks you encounter many friends and comrades that may or may not fall in battle. In the game’s own way, it is attempting to teach their audience morals such: as never leave a comrade behind, the mission is your ultimate focus, and no matter what, a Soldier always deserves respect. These simple principles are taught by many different methods and can be applied in everyday life. In Call of Duty, there are several scenes witch glorify the killing of other country’s Soldiers, which is something most parents attempt to hide from their children, but in reality, the children of the United States are sent this message every
