Preventive education is an important part of the interaction that NYM has with the community. Nursing image throughout the hospital is respected the only problem is the nursing image among nurses themselves. The shortage also comes into play here. Nurses become burned out and frustrated and tend to be negative with each other due to the stress. Interdisciplinary relationships throughout the hospital are strong.
Peace keeping was founded in 1956 as a solution to the Suez crisis (Wood1). Since the start, Canada has demonstrated its commitment to peacekeeping. As of 2003 Canada has contributed 125000 Canadian peacekeepers to UN mission all over the world and has been part of 53 missions, 35 of them in the 1990s era (Wood1-3). Nowadays the urban population is larger than the rural population and growing cities are using rural space to expand, sacrificing natural habitats. This in return has an impact on our environment as bigger cities are responsible for more pollution. A reduction in green spaces due to growing cities has also an impact on our environment as natural habitats are destroyed or restricted, which may result in extinction of certain species. Locally where I live there is currently a huge discussion on building new housing estates on a big green belt around the city however this will not only reduce the green space, it will also build a risk to the new houses of flooding and will have a huge impact on the local environment. Bird and nesting spaces are at risk and the plans will bring a big rise in people moving to this area.
According to the LICO rates in 2011, poverty troubles mainly seniors, aboriginals, and single parents. In Canada, Social assistance falls well below the poverty line and fails miserably to provide adequate income for even a moderate standard living. We should ALL try living on such measly income for a month…. Maybe then we would be more sympathetic for those whom live under the poverty line. There comes a time when people grow old and are not physically capable of handling tasks in the work force.

I didn’t realize before seeing this movie how many people live without insurance. I feel that in many of Michael Moore’s he leaves out many points that do not support his views. An example of this is talking about the great healthcare that many of American’s do live with. For instance I have heard many stories about people in Canada that have had problems that were not fixed because it was not an emergency. I read an article by Cathy LeBoeuf-Schouten explaining about the shortages of Canadian healthcare facilities and how they are full.

Abstract This paper delves in to the lives of aging caregivers whose lives revolve around caring for their disabled loved ones. Many disabled people are living with family members referred to in this paper as caregivers. With advances in medicine, many disabled people are able to live longer lives. Yet when the caregivers become too old to care for their child, government services will not cover all the costs. Planning for the future of the disabled is an exhausting necessity.
Another example could be the way the people in urban areas live, which provides a gap between most people. Additionally, urban drift leaves a gap between the urban and rural communal life. More people are moving from the rural areas to towns and cities,
