English Speech Hello everyone. My name is ----------. This is my tribute speech, for the many freedom fighters under the apartheid. I would also like to tribute a special friend of mine; Nelson Mandela. Who have been through a long walk to freedom. We have had an awful past, with slavery, discrimination, segregation and differential treatment, the apartheid, was a disease, a disease for our country. Some of you might disagree, and some of you might say that what I’m saying is a lie. But it isn’t, I now talk to you, as an innocent human, who have for many years, been treated like a slave, I’ve been pushed around, like I had no other choice. My family, my friends, and almost anyone I knew, felt like me. The only thing that drove me was the thought of freedom. My good friend his Excellency Nelson Mandela, and a small group of his, was the opportunity that made the dream of freedom a reality. When in May 1994, Mandela, the ANC and I, ended 300 years of minority rule, and restored dignity and rights to the South African people. I feel honored, to have known his Excellency Nelson Mandela, he was a respected, loved and admired man, who brought us hope. I feel happy to be one of those privileged men, who’ve known and worked with his Excellency Nelson Mandela. He has redefined the word “leadership”, he fought and gave everything, for not only himself, but every other individual, whose rights had been taken away. I think it’s incredibly, how one individual, can make such difference. He is a historical legend, who will be reminded by the whole world. And I believe, that in 80 years, people will still be talking and teaching about our Excellency Nelson Mandela. I will also like to dedicate this speech, to those who also fought for freedom. And for all of those, who feel that their humanity has been offended. Because behind Mandela, there have been a lot of others,
