Character Profiles Main Characters; Laurie: Laurie Saunders is a smart senior, an A grade student and editor in chief of the “Grapevine” in Gordon High. She’s also a student in Ben Ross’s History class and the main force against the “Wave”. David Collins: Laurie’s boyfriend. David is also a senior student at Gordon high and captain of the football team. He is also a student in Ben Ross’s History class and is most optimistic about what the “Wave” could achieve in there football team. Robert Billings: Is known as the outsider in the History class of Ben Ross because he is shy and weak. He is also a senior student at Gordon High. Robert Billings would rather give up then live in the shadows of his older brother and is tormented by it. The “Wave” gives Robert confidence and a sense of belonging. Ben Ross: Is an intelligent and enthusiastic History teacher at Gordon High. His known as one of the better teachers among the students as his lessons are always interesting and different because of his passion. Ben Ross is also the creator of the “Wave”, he created it as an experiment to show his student what power can do to one. He also made the experiment to see what it was like in World War II Nazi Germany. Minor Characters; Amy Smith: Laurie’s best friend, senior student at Gordon High and also in Ben Ross’s History Class. Amy is a ballet dancer also an A grade student but struggles to live to the standards of Laurie and therefore continues to compete with her for everything. Brian Ammon: A student in Ben Ross's History class and the quarterback of the Gordon High School football team. Brad: Student at Gordon High who plays football and is in Ben Ross’s History class, he also has a tendency to pick on Robert Billings. Principal Owens: Principal of Gordon High.
